sweet colors of fall drift down.

Uggggggggh I am such a failboat - it's like I have some kind of quota for fannish activity. I haven't been posting consistently AT ALL, but I've finished(ish) both of my big bangs, I'm working furiously on my two remaining
genretwisting bingo squares (YAY EXTENSION YAY), and I have three wallpapers to finish. D: This is almost the most pathetic my posting frequency has ever gotten, and yet I don't think I've ever interacted with so many fannish people at once, independent of replying to comments on fic. It's kind of blowing my mind.
God I hope these wallpapers turn out okay.
But! We still haven't quite run out of our movie channel free trial time, and I happened across I Am Number Four the other day, and I don't even know but I sort of loved it? I mean, it was very much teching the tech - the Fakewordians are trying to kill all the other Fakewordians! Your Fakewordian powers are awakening! **handwaves** It's like Roswell meets Twilight, pretty much, and I just could not look away. Quite frankly, I don't understand why they didn't combine Sarah and Sam into a single person - Sarah got the soulful stares and a little tongue, Sam got the angry defense from bullies and the shirtlessness and the shoving against a truck. (And if you mute the end, it pretty much looks like John/Four leaves Sarah with a goodbye kiss, and her no-longer-an-asshole ex-boyfriend to comfort her, so that he can go travel cross-country with Sam.)
But mostly I want to talk about NUMBER SIX OMG. I cannot believe they make you spend like seventy-five percent of the movie with no idea who the badass in the leather is, but the last twenty-five percent was still enough for me to utterly fall in love. Her phasing SFX were awesome, and her knife! Her jacket! Her bike! Her accent! Ugh, I am getting flappy hands. (And, okay, the way they make her pose while she's saving John/Four is incredibly stupid, but the moment itself was badass.) I want the prequel movie that's ALL ABOUT HER - what exactly happened to her protector? How did she survive it? How did she start huntingEvil Fakewordians Mogadorians? How did she find John/Four? HOW IS SHE SO AWESOME. I do not even a little bit need any more fics to write right now, but I am SO GLAD I taped this movie. (Why is my taste in movies so irrational? /o\)
Judging by reaction posts I've spoiled myself with, I should be glad I've drifted away from 5-0, or at least its source material - fandom usually makes me happier than canon anyway, but sometimes the difference can be very dramaticSG:A I AM LOOKING AT YOU.
And to end on a very mundane note: I successfully went to the dentist! By myself! And after calling them on the phone to check the time of my appointment! (I realize this sounds ridiculous, but: anxiety. It was in the midafternoon, so I was about an inch from hurling for a lot of yesterday.)

And her bike! I know nothing about motorcycles; I just know I like to look at that picture.
