As for me, I was ASTOUNDINGLY lucky yet again, and matched melmillo on a fantastically inspiring request for A Yank at Oxford! And by "fantastically inspiring", I mean "I couldn't pick which prompt to write", so I couldn't help but write two things:

(Or: five times Lee and Paul "resented" each other too much to bear, plus the time it definitely wasn't resentment anymore.)

... Basically, there were so many great suggestions for elements of slow burn plus or minus a progression through canon, BUT THEN ALSO for rivalry boiling over into hatesex, that I said HECK IT and wrote one of each. And then cheated, and made one of those a five-times fic. :D

I'd never seen either of these movies before this Yuletide season, but at this point it doesn't even matter; I know I can watch anything, and then go look at what galerian_ash wants for it, and it'll turn out to be exactly what I want most in my heart to write, and I won't be able to help myself.

Which selfishly made me very happy, because I've been meaning to write some Jeremiah fic for SO LONG but hadn't quite managed it, and then finally ended up with the time to do a little canon review this year and get something done. \o/

I left my usual hasty flurry of comments before author reveals, on my "first pass" list of fics, but there's still plenty of things I haven't read yet! And there's no better way to spend the first couple weeks of a new year than going through the Yuletide collection properly. ♥

(Also, while I've obviously YET AGAIN flubbed my chance to actually ... update ... Imagine the Ocean at any point during the entire year /o\ I have both finished going through all my previous notes to get myself back up to speed, reworked some outlines in a desperately necessary fashion, drafted a bunch of the next chapter—!!!—AND had a brain-wave during editing that's going to make the conclusion of said chapter MUCH better. Which is why it's not finished, I now have to rewrite a fair chunk of it, but I'm freshly excited about it and that's such a good feeling, I can't even. ;-; \o/!)

SO YEAH. BRING IT ON, 2020. *rolls up sleeves*
