Ugh, what an awful day.
My parents are gone on a week-long trip to the Grand Canyon. This is good in some ways - for example, I can watch any ridiculous embarrassing thing on TV I want without anybody judging me. However, it also means that I am in charge of ALL THE THINGS, and one corollary of that is that I have to sleep downstairs, in my parents' room, to let the younger cat and the dog in and/or out as necessary.
As necessary, of course, means multiple times at like five o'clock in the morning. :P
So, not the best night's sleep ever, and when I sleep badly, I get weird and unfocused and my head feels like it's about a second away from a headache all day. I ended up stuck at work for two extra hours I wasn't expecting because of a meeting I didn't even really have to be at (though I guess it's not a bad thing that I was), and then got to drive home - now with an actual headache - through the impressionistic wonderland that the shitty windshield wipers on the car I use most often make out of heavy precipitation and brake lights in the dark. Awesome.
But! I managed to work out a fairly complete outline for the next chapter of ItO at work, and: NEW ARTZ.

idriya, who probably looks like a sockpuppet at this point but is really just dedicated to her lurker lifestyle. I slipped them into the AO3 version of the fic the other day when I was adding the chapter and making some edits, and they are now also in the DW version. (I'm giving this post the ItO tags because art updates really sort of are part of the fic.)
And now I'm going to set the TV up to tape The Event for my mother, and then sleep until The Closer starts. :D
