First things first: I realize that this letter is super long, and you definitely do not have to read it! If you'd like some extra optional details, by all means give it a skim—I've tried to make it as easy as I can for you to find whatever you might be looking for. But feel free to pick out a couple lines that work for you and ignore the rest, or just close out of it and create whatever you already had in mind! I have no DNWs you need to worry about; this is all just extra information + additional prompts, in case my signup by itself wasn't enough for you to work with.
So, yeah. I'm here for anything you'd like to make for me, and if you'd prefer to pretend my entire signup was blank, please do! Knock yourself out making whatever you want most to make, and have a good time. :D If you do like ... very extensive ... optional details, then have at it, and I hope this letter ends up being useful to you. ♥
I'm on the AO3 as
Damkianna. This journal is now mostly exchange letters (most of them are in my Yuletide tag, Fandom5K tag, and FFFX tag), but if you want to browse back through it more generally, go ahead! If you see a prompt you really like somewhere in one of my past letters that applies to one of these fandoms, feel free to use it, even if I didn't repeat it in this letter specifically. I'm still interested in anything and everything I've ever asked for in my fandoms—and you don't need to worry about abiding by any of my past DNWs, either.

If the length of this letter does not spark joy, but you don't want to just forget about it entirely, the good news is that there's a bottom line here: give me anything about any of these fandoms, and I will be t h r i l l e d. Whatever it was you were excited to write 10k about or draw a comic of when you decided to offer the thing(s) we matched on, take that and RUN WITH IT. I'm interested in anything and everything about these canons and characters, taken in any direction you please/rendered in any art style you enjoy!
Casefic? Space AU? Non-chronological character study? YES PLEASE. 10k of canon-compliant missing scenes/10 pages of a comic depicting some canon-compliant backstory ... or 10k/10 pages of soulmates meeting in a coffeeshop, except one of them's undercover and isn't giving their real name? ABSOLUTELY. I love h/c that's heavy on the c, fluff, and pining that requires nothing more than a single conversation to resolve—and I love h/c that's heavy on the h, angst (including deathfic), and horror. I love gen, friendships, rivalries, ensembles, character studies, and relationship studies without even a smidgen of UST! And I love porn, hatesex, friends-with-benefits who are secretly in love and friends-with-benefits who stay friends, shippy stories that blossom into a beautiful orgy of smut and feelings, and shippy stories that take their entire length to work up to a kiss and then end. ANYTHING.
Which, please do consider this me opting into whatever you consider opt-in (and whatever you consider opt-out, for that matter); that includes kinks of all kinds, material requiring an Archive warning, and everything else tags and warnings might not cover. Basically, make me the thing you want most to make me, and I will be here for it. :D And I realize I'm requesting individual characters in some fandoms and ship tags in others, but! No matter which we might have matched on, please rest assured I am here on every level for:
• shipfic! I ship all kinds of things, and I'm here for m/m, f/f, and m/f; background ships of all types are a-okay to include, and poly is more than welcome. You should feel free to take any prompt I've given for a solo character and turn it into something shippy—I'll mention ships I like for any individual character, but I'm sure my lists won't be exhaustive, and I'm happy to be surprised!
:: And, for the record, don't feel any need to worry about how shippy a gift you intended as shippy needs to be—I love friendships and enemyships, sexual or emotional tension that's juuuuust barely glancingly implied by too-long glances or a single lingering touch but never acknowledged or discussed, pining that doesn't get resolved by the end or hatesex where characters are fucking but not kissing ... So if you end up with something that's full of feelings but no touching, or touching but no kissing, or fucking but no feelings, rest assured that any or all of that is fantastic and I will be thrilled about it!
• gen! Anything you'd like to write about my requested characters, separately or together or within an ensemble, would be awesome. Backstory? Futurefic? Canon-era character study? I love loyalty, I love friendship; I love biting antagonism, I love betrayal; I love angst and drama and whump, shenanigans and quiet moments and introspection. Whatever you're interested in, I'm there for it!
:: And I am interested in gen variations on absolutely any of my shippy prompts, or tropes that are usually shippy—fake dating, but it really is just a cover story? Amnesia where the focus is on how it changes the character's platonic relationships with the rest of the ensemble, and on how it gets solved? Huddling for warmth, or hurt/comfort, or self-sacrifice + protectiveness, with absolutely zero UST? YES.
• free space! Which is to say anything that I've left off the metaphorical bingo card here. The super iddy concept living in your heart that you haven't had an excuse to unleash? Your very favorite trope in all the world? The weird idea you suspect absolutely no one else is interested in? I want that thing too, whatever it is! :D Unusual POVs, tenses, or formats; epistolary fic, fake in-universe documentation, CYOA; your post-modernist take on time loops, written in second-person future conditional—or your Fauvist interpretation of ten pages of hallucinations. Make the thing, and give it to me!
I'm into adventures and action, banter and dialogue, or characters stranded alone with nothing to do but think. Five things/five times (or six, or ten) that add up to 10k/10 pages? The canon-divergent AU where everything goes worse than canon—or the fix-it where nothing went wrong in the first place? Your thoughts on canon-compliant worldbuilding, dressed up in a narrative suit ... or everyone reimagined in a cubist Old West. Seriously, whatever it is you want to give me, I'm here for it, and so excited about it. :D!

I'd love absolutely anything you wanted to write me about Angela, wherever you'd like to take it and whenever you wanted to set it. :D 10k/10 pages of pre-canon backstory adventures, where she's wrestling with her abilities while solving cases? Or an AU where she got locked up along with Isabel? Post-canon where she has to figure out what to do with the Spear, and something out there wants to take it from her? I'd adore a fix-it where she's able to get to Isabel and stop her from jumping, and all the answers are easier to find from there, just as much as one where Mammon succeeds in crossing over and Angela has to survive the apocalypse!
I definitely do ship her with John, and would love anything from casefic with the two of them + heaps of UST to straight-up *waves hands* demonic sex pollen smut. BUT I'm also here for Angela/Isabel, if psychic f/f incest is your jam; or for Angela/Gabriel, if you'd like to tackle post-canon Angela helping Gabriel navigate wingless mortal existence; or anything else you ship. :D And I adore everything about the feel and aesthetic of the world in the movie, so by all means give me anything involving asshole angels and demons in the shadows, the loopholes of salvation and damnation, or what else there is in Hell's version of the Bible!
Obviously this movie isn't a particularly faithful adaptation of comics!Constantine, but I adore it anyway—I love the near-horror aesthetic, I love basically everybody in it, I love the plot; I love love love people facing a kind of disaster they can't really be prepared for (who could?) but doing their best in the face of it anyway and prevailing, learning to accept parts of themselves they couldn't before, caring about each other almost despite themselves. I LOVE ALL OF IT, and please rest assured I'll be equally happy with something that leans into the horror-adjacent vibe hard ... or something sweet and understated and heartwarming, whichever direction you want to go. :D
I would be STOKED with anything you'd like to make me that's centered on Angela! ANYTHING. :D I absolutely love every part of her character arc, her struggle to rediscover herself and trust herself after spending so many years telling herself her powers weren't real, the quietly excruciating loss of Isabel and the equally quiet connection she forms with John, how she deals with this whole other huge awful side of reality spilling out in front of her ... ANGELA FOREVER. ♥
• I would adore anything canon-compliant, set at any point before the movie:
:: Scenes from Angela and Isabel's childhood? Both the moments of perfect mutual understanding, and the moments where Angela turned her back on Isabel ... ;-;
:: And I'd also love it if you wanted to really delve into basically anything about Isabel being committed and Angela trying to deal with it: is Angela already a cop? Struggling to establish herself as a trainee? Still in the Academy?
:: Did Isabel have a place of her own, a job—and Angela was then forced to deal with the aftermath, going through Isabel's things to pack them up and meeting people Isabel had helped?
:: Casefic! A case involving the supernatural that Angela managed to solve when she shouldn't have been able to, and she knows it?
:: Duck! How did Isabel end up with him? Were there any supernatural circumstances involved, given that cats are "half in, half out"—did Angela need to deal with anything coming after him once Isabel had been institutionalized?
• Or work with anything during canon, as much or as little as you want:
:: Feel free to break my heart by really digging into the experience of learning what had happened to Isabel, and what it was like for Angela to be grieving with all this supernatural crap going down at the same time.
:: Or! What is it like to reawaken herself/start trying to use her powers again—does she practice on strangers, or on John, in moments we didn't see in the movie?
:: John in general! I'll tackle more explicitly shippy prompts further on, but I'd also love anything about her perspective on him as a person, how she goes from half-sure he's a fraud to almost kissing him on a rooftop. :D
:: Or, of course, the profoundly horrifying experience of being used as a doorway for Mammon. Does being touched by that kind of power do anything—did she experience Hell? Did Mammon speak to her? Did it feel like months or years to her, even though it was actually minutes?
• But I would also absolutely love more adventures post-canon, too!
:: Tell me all about her right after John leaves, trying to figure out what to do with the spear (maybe Midnite ends up helping her? Or Gabriel?) and keeping it safe until she's decided how to hide it.
:: The first time she has to perform an exorcism, or fend off a demon or angel who's targeting someone, while John's gone?
:: Curses, or hauntings, or people who need a psychic's help?
:: Or does John get himself in trouble elsewhere, and Angela "sees" it happen and comes to the rescue? :D
• Or AUs! Diverge from wherever you like, and make things better, worse, or just different:
:: On the not-so-fix-it end of the spectrum—I'm super weak for apocalypses, and also post-apocalyptic rebuilding, so by all means give me the world where Mammon makes it through! Does he revere his "mother"?
:: Or does Angela get out of there with John, and then they just have to figure out how to survive literal hell on earth? (Ambiguous/implied-downer endings are more than okay here! As are improbably positive ones where they find other survivors and start teaching them basic occult survival skills. :D)
:: Or give me the world where Angela and Isabel were both committed, and are still targets thanks to their powers—could John still track them down, if he ends up needing a psychic for something/realizing they're targets?
:: Or would they end up breaking out to find him first, having "seen" him and realizing that he might be able to help them?
:: Or! By all means feel free to let Angela's powers allow her to get to Isabel before Isabel can throw herself off a building. What happens next? How much does Isabel actually know about what's coming, and how does her being on the board change the game?
:: Might John have gotten arrested at the scene of an exorcism or murder, and ended up Angela's problem much earlier? :D
• And of course I would love a shippy gift, if you're into that!
:: I definitely do ship Angela with John, so consider this your carte blanche to shove them into any shippy/tropey scenario you please!
:: Exorcism h/c? "Turns out an official church marriage actually provides certain occult defenses—that's the only reason we're doing it, no secret feelings here"? A lust curse that means they're banging every few hours like clockwork, and stuck trying to do research in between? :D
:: But I'd also love anything that's a little more subtly shippy, too, for the record: pining and UST, John coming back and them settling into some kind of partnership and dancing around each other ... by all means keep it understated!
:: And! I would also be here 100% for twincest with Isabel (I'm a sucker for incredibly strong sibling connections, and "psychic twins" is even better for that us-against-the-world no-one-else-could-ever-come-as-close angle *_____*), as sweet or dysfunctional as you'd like to play it!
:: Or Angela/Midnite—post-canon, as she starts figuring things out after John's departure, and needs to make some underground contacts of her own = she's at Midnite's increasingly often?
:: Angela/Gabriel, because she got stuck helping Gabriel figure out how to human? (And please use whatever pronouns feel appropriate to you for Gabriel, by the way!)
• And! Totally here for any worldbuilding you'd like to do, whether on its own or combined with any other prompt(s) or ideas you've got!
:: Obviously there's the whole "hey, the occult is real" angle, and by all means dive into it—feel free to draw from other Constantine canons for tidbits, or from real-world sources (Enochian occultism!), or just make shit up. :D
:: Protective magicks she acquires, or ways she learns to protect herself/her apartment/her belongings? Any other interesting things it turns out Duck the cat is capable of?
:: And of course I'd also love it if you wanted to delve a little bit more into her powers! How they work, how they feel to her, the kinds of things she's psychic about or able to use them for—where they came from, whether they're from Heaven or Hell or just a totally neutral human thing ...
:: Does she ever find anybody else who's like her, besides Isabel?
:: What does Midnite feel like to her if she reaches out to "look" at him psychically? How about Gabriel?
:: And anything else about the world of Constantine that you're interested in exploring through Angela's eyes is absolutely an option! John backstory, as he starts to open up to Angela/she learns more about some of the things he's experienced?
:: Midnite's backstory—the club and all of its various patrons, and how exactly he came to set himself up there?
:: Gabriel's existence as an angel—what it was like to be one, how it felt, the personal experience of God and Satan as a non-human celestial being ...

Honestly, I would be delighted by anything you wanted to give me about basically any combination of these characters, with even the barest hint of shippiness showing through at any point ... or straight-up smut, whichever. :D Heist plot where they find what turns out to be a clone of Misaki and she says something biting that's almost flirtatious to Nyx one (1) time? Three rescuing Six from the far side of the alien rift, with a hint that he miiiiight be feeling something in the last line at the end? YES. Six and Three get sex-pollened and fuck on every surface in the Marauder? Misaki, sent to fetch Nyx and deliver her to Ryo, dubcons her on the way, claiming she's got to make sure Nyx is "fit" for the emperor? ALSO YES.
Seriously, any point at which you can get Nyx and Misaki in the same room, or any plotline that drags Six and Three together, or Six and Nyx rescuing Three from Misaki ... whatever works, however many of them do or don't appear, I'm there for it. Misaki just being absolutely furious that Nyx is so hot! AU where her coup succeeded! Fix-it where Nyx doesn't die! Or write me the story where Kal Varrik went undercover with Tanner's gang instead of Portia Lin, and had to take care of an injured Marcus Boone on that planet. :D AU it for the worse and let post-canon Three find out that explosion really killed Six, and he has all the feelings about that! ;-; Any h/c or get-together tropes, anything canon-compliant or not so much, as much or as little worldbuilding (the Seers? Zairon? The GA, or the blob-alien dimension, or more about how prisons work in the future?) as you'd like to do ... anything!
I will always miss this show so much, and the finale cliffhanger absolutely killed me—I'd love for you to resolve it any way you like in a Six/Three story, AU it away in a Nyx/Misaki story, or just write something set earlier where it's not even relevant. :D I'd adore more of this universe any way I can get it—and please rest assured I'm into all kinds of different elements of the show, the danger and uncertainty and struggle to make hard choices, but also all the tropey shenanigans and humor and people redefining themselves as crew and as a kind of family. :D Dark and angsty and difficult, silly and sweet and affectionate, I'm there for it either way!
I realize it doesn't necessarily make a lot of sense to ship this as hard as I do, considering the most significant interaction between them is Misaki killing Nyx, but BOY DO I. :D I love that they're both so competent and so vicious in a fight, that they're so well-matched when Misaki's not cheating with murder poison, and also the messiness of both of their relationships with Four/Ryo, especially in combination! (Though I am as here for weird displaced jealousy that turns out to be as much about Nyx as aimed toward Nyx, or for an AU where Misaki ends up on the ship instead of Ryo and is Four. Lean into it, pretend Four doesn't exist and Nyx and Misaki are hate-banging for fun, WHICHEVER.)
Also, I feel like I should mention here that I love Misaki being relentless and terrible, and scheming to eliminate anyone in her way unless she can cut their throats instead! If you want to give me something where Misaki manages to reach the point where she's just barely able to not make the cruelest possible decision every time, that would be just as welcome as Misaki deliberately waiting for her moment and stabbing people in the back without a twinge of regret. :D You definitely don't need to try to make her "soft" for this!
• Feel free to keep things in line with the style of the show, and give me some x-of-the-week shenanigans/the sci-fi trope of your heart!
:: Anything you'd like to write about a job-of-the-week/heist-of-the-week, or people-needing-help-of-the-week, whatever it might be, that you can manage to fit Misaki into for any reason, would be amazing!
:: Handwave it into S2: maybe the crew agrees to a mission that will help strengthen Zairon's position in the war (stealing something important from Pyr?) and Misaki, as Hiro's captain of the guard, is sent with them?
:: Or AU S2 so Nyx and Misaki both live, and give me Empress Misaki and reluctantly-still-there Seer Nyx navigating some intrigue at court?
:: Or! ANYTHING AT ALL where Nyx gets hurt by enemies of Ryo's and Misaki grudgingly saves her because she's ~useful, but it doesn't mean they don't still hate each other, would be wonderful!
:: Or! I would love the AU where Ryo sees Misaki's decision to kill Nyx coming, and he stabs her and leaves her on the Raza and takes the blink drive! She would be the worst patient ever, especially in the aftermath of being functionally exiled like that, but she might not have much of a choice ...
:: Or, of course, any tropey canon-style plot—a time loop, but it's Nyx instead of Three, until she figures out how to win that fight with Misaki and take her prisoner instead? Or Misaki, until she grudgingly starts making different decisions?
:: Amnesia, but this time it's Misaki who's lost her memory? :D
:: Or Nyx encountering the Misaki from the canonical alternate universe? (Is that Misaki better or worse than the original flavor?)
:: Trapped together! Reluctantly huddling for warmth! Forced to ally themselves temporarily to get out of some kind of mess! ANYTHING.
• And I've already suggested some AUs for the sake of getting Nyx and Misaki in a position to interact more than they canonically do, but for the record, I'd love anything where the AU part really takes the wheel!
:: Diverge as early as you like: give me the universe where Misaki's the one who ended up on the Raza, because she was out searching for Ryo, and then she got her memory wiped and became Four? (Would Misaki!Four and Nyx still have started fucking? I LIKE TO THINK SO)
:: Or maybe Nyx never escaped from the Seers, and ended up in Hiro's court with the rest of them—tell me all about Misaki taunting and hassling her there ... but also accidentally giving her the data to realize what Ryo was going to do to them? (Misaki making sure she's going to be the guard who cuts Nyx's throat personally = also A++!)
:: And feel free to make it fix-it from Misaki's POV: what if she'd succeeded in her coup attempt? (A successful coup + Nyx having shown up at the wrong time to marry Ryo after all = Misaki deciding to keep the last Seer for herself?)
:: In a world where Nyx had agreed to be Ryo's empress—would she have helped Misaki take him out, if he'd kept getting less like Four and more like Ryo?
:: Or would Misaki want to kill her, but need to keep her on as a figurehead?Or start fucking her just because it's the closest she can still get to Ryo?
:: Or! Make it fix-it for everybody else—Nyx manages to win the fight on the bridge, and then the crew has to figure out what the hell to do with Misaki (try to use her as a bargaining chip with Ryo, maybe, except he's figured out what she was going to do to Nyx and is therefore happy to leave her effectively exiled?).
:: Or AU me from another point—give me Nyx as Ryo's empress and Misaki as the captain of the imperial guard, hatefucking each other and using foresight and viciousness to turn the tide of the war with Pyr while Ryo's not paying attention ...
• And I've already talked about some of the ways you could get Nyx and Misaki together, too, but FOR THE RECORD, I am very, very flexible about this!
:: Are they already fucking, but then, by the end of your work, they kiss? Do they already have a weird fight-UST thing going, but then by the end of your work, they fuck? *chinhands*
:: Or! Write me the story where Misaki decides the best way to separate Ryo and Nyx isn't to kill Nyx, it's to seduce Nyx (so Ryo will finally understand that she was never good enough for him! Killing her just makes her perfect in his memory, after all ...).
:: Or put Misaki on the Raza for any reason you like (Ryo sent her to them after he left, as a replacement/to try to steal the blink drive from them? Or in that AU where Nyx beat her and then the crew was stuck with her?) and give me Nyx deciding the best way to handle her is to seduce her—seeing that it will work? :D
:: And just in general, I'm weak for anything where characters believe themselves to be manipulating each other with clear heads and well-defined goals, but the more they fuck, the fuzzier the lines get. In case that's useful to know!
:: Or give me a Nyx who's started taking Shadow again so she can see things coming, interacting with Misaki and getting visions of Misaki fucking her (because Misaki's deliberately thinking about doing it and then coolly deciding against it at the last second, just in order to make her see it? Because Misaki's actually almost going to do it 90% of the time? :D)
:: And, as noted, I am extremely here for any scenario involving Nyx and Misaki on Zairon, no matter how AU it is! Nyx as one of the Seers who ends up working for Hiro—and Misaki picking her to seduce, in an effort to learn whatever information they've been giving Hiro?
:: Nyx as Ryo's empress, except she agreed because she wanted to be in a position to stop him if she needed to ... and Misaki figures that out and grudgingly respects her for it, because she also wants Ryo off the throne, which Nyx didn't see coming?
:: Nyx as Ryo's empress, and part of Misaki's coup + efforts to set herself up as his successor involve marrying Nyx herself? (Noncon/dubcon is a-okay with these two, though I'd love for Nyx to be into it at least a little bit, even if she wishes she weren't/is outwardly resisting!)
• And I'm here for any sort of Nyx-centric worldbuilding angle you'd like to take on!
:: What it was like living as a Seer on the ship—both while the experiment was running, and after? (How is it the same or different from, say, surviving in Ryo's imperial court?)
:: Or maybe get into some the data about the state of the galaxy she still has in her head, after having it fed to her in their machines? (Is Misaki in there somewhere? How does whatever profile Nyx has on her differ from getting to know her in person?)
:: Or anything that leans on what it's like for her on a day-to-day basis, the things she does see and the things she doesn't—whether having a flash of what might be coming means anything when she's dealing with Misaki? (Or the process of having those flashes get more accurate, as she gets to know Misaki better?)
• Or! Imperial space worldbuilding of any kind that you'd like to do through flashbacks or something in Misaki's POV. :D
:: Young Misaki and lessons on history/military strategy—contrasting with how frustrated she is with Ryo's decisions in the present day (including how pointlessly attached he is to Nyx, of course)?
:: Or anything about Misaki's POV on the Seers in general (in addition to Nyx in particular)—what she thought of them, whether she knew what was going to happen to them, whether she thought they were a useful advantage or just frustrating to her own plans ...
:: And anything about Pyr would be great, since we saw so little of it in the show! What does Nyx know about it from the Seers' data, and what has Misaki heard about it living on Zairon? How'd the war even start, anyway?
:: I'm also super here for court intrigue, in a fic about Empress Nyx and/or Misaki as the captain of the guard trying to navigate it—feel free to make up whatever you like about the most powerful families and the way things are done on Zairon!
:: And I'd also be THRILLED if you wanted to tackle the alien invasion—obviously it would have to be pretty AU for Nyx and Misaki to both be alive :D but anything from them working frantically to end the war with Pyr so Zairon will be ready to fight the black ships ...
:: ... to something post-apocalyptic and YEARS later where they're desperately trying to survive as the aliens eat their way through more and more of our dimension—seriously, go wild!
I ship this ridiculously hard, because I love everything about Three (his douchery! his heart of gold! his denial that his heart of gold is a thing!) and I love everything about Six (his glorious angsty backstory! his betrayals and regrets and desire to always do better!), and all the twists and turns in their relationship with each other just kill me—that they've been at odds so much but also had to rely on each other, and when the chips are down they're crew, aaaaaa. (Also that scene in the facility with the alien rift where Three's panicking and basically climbing Six like a tree, and Six reluctantly holds him still so he can be sedated, jeeeeeesus. *____*)
• Seriously, set this at any point whatsoever and I will be extremely here for it!
:: Three and a Six who thinks he used to be Griffin Jones, or just found out about his real identity as Kal and the GA ...
:: ... or S2 Six trying to earn back Three's trust and getting trapped in the Marauder with him ...
:: ... or S3 Three with all his blob-alien-related trauma, having to rescue Six from the blob-alien dimension!
:: Trap them on a planet together? Force them to rescue each other?
:: Get Three arrested by the GA, so Six has to go undercover as himself to get him out, and Three assumes it's just that he betrayed them again! ;-;
:: Or maybe they have to pretend to be married for ~reasons, or Six stays stuck in that simulation in 3.07 and Three has to actually go in there and convince him it's not real, or or or. :D
:: I'm also extremely weak for people being forced to hurt each other as part of a cover, and also for self-sacrifice attempts! So pretty much anything where Three's trying hard to throw himself on a grenade but Six won't let him ...
:: ... or Six and Three run into people who knew Marcus Boone and discover that "Kal" is ex-GA and are expecting Three to beat Six up (and Six does let him ;-;), would be spectacular!
• Or AU me anywhere you please, and spin out the changes as far as you'd like:
:: What might have happened if either one of them had accidentally gotten re-imprinted with their memories during S1?
:: Or both of them, for that matter (Kal aware that he's GA and undercover! Boone watching him all the time, still planning to kill him if he has the chance!)?
:: Or if Six had been the one who'd gotten implanted with that blob-alien in S2? (A plot that revolves around him deliberately making sure it's him who gets taken instead of Three, trying to protect Three on that mission, would be STELLAR. ;-;)
:: Or if he hadn't left the ship during that chunk of S3 (or had, but Three had opted to go with him as grudging backup :D)?
:: Or go back a lot further: if Kal had never gone undercover, how else might he have encountered the crew, and Three, eventually? (Might they have taken him hostage escaping from prison at the beginning of S2? :D)
:: Bring it full circle, even: would Kal Varrik and his guilt over the things he did undercover turn into him asking Five to wipe him the way the rest of them were wiped, because he's desperate for the second chance they've had—and would she do it?
:: Or if Marcus Boone had stayed with Tanner's gang instead of joining up with Portia—what if Kal Varrik had gone undercover with them instead? (Totally here for a Marcus Boone/Kal Varrik story, it doesn't need to be Three and Six! :D)
:: Or, of course, fix it: the S3 finale didn't necessarily kill Six, but it easily could have—so tell me all about the future where it didn't and he's just stuck in the wrong dimension!
:: Does Three end up linked to some more aliens, and "see" him there? Insist on going through to rescue him? (Does Six come back with an alien in him, and they need to find a new way to get it out?)
:: Or go back and fix something else—what if Six had never betrayed the crew to the GA in the first place, at the end of S1?
• And obviously I've already tossed in some "it could be shipfic" prompts above, but seriously, any get-together trope you love would be A++!
:: Handcuffed together (Six pretending to be GA and trying to get Three out of a scrape, having to follow procedure and secure him ... to himself)?
:: Accidental telepathy (maybe Three's exposure to the aliens as a host + Six's exposure to the aliens on the far side of the rift = oops, mindlink)?
:: Or alien possession dubcon! Three gets taken over again, and the alien makes him fuck Six—who does know it isn't him, but lets it happen anyway, stalling for time to help save him? Who doesn't know? Or vice versa?
:: Or it's all in Three's head: one of the aliens just made him see it happen, feel it, so much so that he thinks it was real, and Six has no idea why he won't look Six in the eye anymore ... ;-;
:: Or! Time loop, except it's Six instead of Three ... but Three believes him and is genuinely helpful, thanks to Three's own past experience? :D
:: Also, just tossing this out there, but that episode where they were stuck in the Marauder together, with Three still pissed off and Six trying to talk it out, was gold—if you'd like to roll with that but bring it to a shippier and/or pornier conclusion, that would be amazing. *_____*
:: Just in general, I would adore all kinds of longer and more fraught arguments with each other about Six's betrayal, with Six gradually realizing that it stung Three weirdly deeply, and Three having to admit he'd genuinely trusted and started to ~feel things about Six. ;-;
:: And of course, as noted, I love Three getting himself beaten up for stupid reasons, and also Six being badass and heroic ...
:: ... or Six getting himself beaten up for noble reasons and Three bitching him out for it but also helping him!
:: Honestly, just in general, anything with them being stubborn and getting in trouble, arguing about ethics and being reluctantly into each other, I mean, I'm so there. :D
• And of course I'd love for you to roll around in some worldbuilding while you're at it, if that's your jam!
:: The aliens! If you'd like to tell me more about what it feels like to be taken over by them, what the "presence" of that rift was like and whatever leftover traces of their presence still stick, from Three's perspective, please do!
:: Or, of course, if you're interested in rolling with "Six trapped on the wrong side of the rift"—what is it like there? What is left, once the blob-aliens are done consuming all the energy in a universe?
:: How do they organize themselves as a society? (They've got ships; does that mean those ships have captains? Engineers? How do they conceptualize whatever roles they've got—and is some of that information still in Three's head, after he plays host to one?)
:: And if you'd like to write me futurefic where everything's gone horribly wrong and the aliens are in fact eating everything, that would be fantastic—I'm totally here for Three and Six trying to survive together in the space apocalypse, too. :D
:: Or focus in on S3 Six and his attempts to organize the independent colonies! How many are there, anyway, and what are some of the problems they face in forming an alliance that the show didn't get into?
:: Or! The GA. :D I love undercover shenanigans, so absolutely anything where Six has to pretend to be GA again, and you invent all the rules and procedures he needs to re-learn, would be great!

Jeremiah is one of my best-beloved nostalgia canons, and I am still so fond of it—and one of my favorite characters in the whole show was absolutely Theo! She had me right from the pilot, and I was thrilled when she started showing up again later in the show. She's such a fascinating combination of ruthless, practical, resourceful, and unapologetic, and I'd love to read pretty much any story you'd like to tell me about her, from backstory before the show to anything she was doing offscreen between her appearances, post-canon speculation or AUs taking her any direction you can think of.
I also ship her with just about everybody, so if there's some Theo shipfic that lives in your heart that you've been waiting for an excuse to write (Theo/Erin? Theo/Markus? Theo/Jeremiah? Theo/Kurdy? Theo/Elizabeth? Theo/Libby?), by all means give it to me. :D And I'm incredibly weak for post-apocalyptic settings, so absolutely anything about the world of Jeremiah that you'd like to explore through a story about Theo would be amazing, from the story of how she ended up in charge of Clairfield in the first place to attempting to forge an alliance with the other local leaders, or the recovery after Daniel's army is defeated. Anything!
This show is probably where my abiding love for apocalypses and their aftermath comes from—it was so earnest (sometimes to the point of cringe, I admit) and I totally adore people doing their best to come together and build something new out of the ashes, even if they struggle with it, even when there are setbacks, which means it gave me just about everything I could have asked for. :D Which, I definitely do love both the effort and commitment and the struggles and setbacks, the times when the characters defaulted to cruelty or distrust and the times when they extended unexpected kindness, so darkfic and happy endings are both on the table!
THEO. :D Theo's arc has always been one of my favorite things about the show—starting off as much more of an antagonist than not, and gaining more and more nuance every time she reappeared. I love how smart and tough and difficult she is, that she's always looking out for herself but at the same time aware that there's more going on in the world, and that every now and then the latter tips her in new and unexpected directions. So, yeah. Any story you'd like to tell me about Theo, I'm here for it!
• Anything about Theo set before the show starts would be fantastic. :D
:: Childhood! I would love anything about what Theo does and doesn't remember from before the Big Death, how she survived the first few years afterward and the lessons she learned doing it (and feel free to go dark with this, because I can't imagine it was a good time for her).
:: How did she end up in charge of Clairfield? (By all means run with everything she said about it in the pilot being basically true ... or decide she exaggerated or smoothed over a few things. :D)
:: What kinds of challenges had she faced there before Jeremiah and Kurdy showed up, and how did she handle them?
:: How did she first learn about Thunder Mountain/"the end of the world"? Has she ever caught anybody else who knew about it, and what did they tell her?
• And of course I'd love missing scenes and/or episode tags that fill in some of the gaps between Theo's various appearances on the show!
:: What happened to her between the pilot and 1.11? There's got to be more to it than she'd have admitted to anybody from Thunder Mountain ...
:: How did she handle the aftermath of the pilot, and what did or didn't change about the way she ran Clairfield?
:: Or between 1.11 and 1.18? Her position seems to have stabilized somewhat by 1.18—how did she pull that off?
:: Or between 1.18 and 2.04-2.05! How and when did she discover she was pregnant? Had she told anybody else, or was she trying to hide it and also maybe pretend it wasn't happening at all?
:: Or, of course, after 2.05! What's her response to the whole Daniel situation? What does she have her people do to prepare?
• Or! Post-canon adventures of any kind—or, well, leading into post-canon, because she's offscreen for the end of S2:
:: Where is she when Daniel's army shows up? Is she coordinating with Thunder Mountain in ways we just didn't see, or holding back, waiting to see who comes out on top?
:: How does she survive it—or does she go down fighting, scratching tooth and nail? ;-; OH THEO
:: What happens next? Does she come back and help start rebuilding in the aftermath—playing it like it's for her own benefit, but inwardly relieved there's still something left?
:: And I would 100% be there for a pregnancy story that tackles what it's like trying to give birth safely—is she willing to go to Thunder Mountain for help? Does she try to handle it all herself?
• I'd be thrilled with an AU branching off from just about anywhere, too, or fixing anything you'd like to fix!
:: What if Theo had in fact discovered Thunder Mountain first, or had followed Jeremiah and Kurdy there? (Waited for them to leave, pretended to need help, and managed to get herself inside?)
:: Would she have taken it over/sabotaged it, or ended up won over by their mission and Markus's earnestness despite herself?
:: Or a role reversal, however you feel like you can swing it: how could she have ended up as a runner for Thunder Mountain, in another world?
:: What would Thunder Mountain look like if she'd been in Markus's place? (A disaster, better in some ways but worse in others, or "being raised in Thunder Mountain means she has the chance to become a genuinely principled leader" are all 100% fair answers!)
:: "Fix it" from Theo's perspective: what would have happened if she'd succeeded in holding Jeremiah, Kurdy, and Simon until she could get some answers, and her people hadn't turned on her?
:: Or fix anything else about the show, with Theo involved—let her save Elizabeth? Let the leaders succeed in forging an alliance that can fend off Daniel's forces entirely? Whatever you like!
• And I'd be absolutely delighted with Theo shipfic, too!
:: I can admit that I probably ship Theo the most intensely with Erin, on the strength of That One Conversation in 2.04—I would be delighted with the tropiest ever accidental domesticity fic where Erin does end up helping Theo through her pregnancy, and they share quarters in Thunder Mountain but it's Just Practical (it's not just practical), and feelings happen. :D
:: Or anything else you're interested in for them! Theo's pregnancy makes her horny = fuckbuddies? AU where they meet earlier (both captured in Milhaven, maybe)? WINGFIC. Anything!
:: BUT I'm also definitely here for Theo shipped with anybody else—say, Markus, perhaps intending to manipulate him at first, but oops real feelings happen?
:: Or give me Theo/Jeremiah—I adore how prickly their back-and-forth with each other can get, and how well they can keep up with each other when they try!
:: Or Theo/Elizabeth, with all the messiness of Simon's death hanging between them, Elizabeth's gentleness-but-strength vs Theo's sharp-edges-but-feelings?
:: Or Theo/Kurdy—maybe Theo hitting on him and him always refusing, doubly so after Elizabeth's death, becomes A Thing ... until one day he finally says yes instead? :D
:: Or anybody else you're interested in shipping her with! Theo/Jeremiah/Kurdy, Theo/Kurdy/Elizabeth, Theo/Erin/Markus ... Mr. Smith! Libby! HATESEX WITH LEE CHEN. Anything!

I wasn't expecting to love this movie nearly as much as I do, but BOY DO I—it's so ridiculously beautiful, I love the world and the characters and the themes, and Raya and Namaari's joint arc was everything I could possibly have asked for. :D So! I'd be delighted by anything you'd like to write me about them, whether it's either or both of their POVs from some point during canon, canon-compliant post-canon, or an AU that branches off anywhere you like, whether it makes things better or worse.
I'm here for complicated resentful feelings that are just barely starting to include UST, post-movie fic where they actually have the chance to get to know each other while helping Fang rebuild, or the tropiest arranged-marriage AU that lives in your heart. :D Does Namaari ever manage to really apologize for having betrayed Raya's trust when they were kids—and does it take time for Raya to be able to accept that apology? Give me fluff about dragon nerds in a world where ALL the dragons are back, or angst where Namaari's avoiding Raya out of guilt because she doesn't think she can ever make amends, or the AU where Virana was turned into stone by the Druun a long time ago and Namaari had to switch gears and grudgingly start helping Raya with her quest instead, to both their dismay. Whatever you like!
If there was a flaw in this movie, it was that it wasn't twice as long—I wanted more of everything and more room for it all to happen in, because so much of it was SO GOOD. Raya is amazing and I love everything about her, Namaari's character arc is my kryptonite, and if you wanted to give me nothing but a pile of worldbuilding about this universe and its magic and the DRAGONS, and then maybe tack on two lines/one panel where Raya and Namaari kiss at the end, I would be all over that. :D!
This ship is my id on so many different levels it kind of beggars belief! I love characters who are at odds but actually have a tremendous amount in common, I love hurt and betrayal and trust and the long slow process of forgiving someone (or the long slow process of trying and not getting there), I love competence and rivalry and people who have a lot of feelings on the inside and are desperately trying to keep them hidden ... IT'S JUST SO GOOD. ;-; And for the record, I'm here for emphasis on Namaari's betrayal, and I'm here for futurefic where they've successfully moved on—you definitely don't need to hammer on that angle if it doesn't appeal to you, but you should feel free to lean into the angst and lingering pain if you're into that kind of thing!
• I'd love basically any story that's in line with and during canon, with even the faintest pre-shippy or shippy vibe involved!
:: Other times Namaari has caught up to Raya, while following her trail?
:: Or! I'd be over the moon about a post-canon quest or adventure that brings them back together—maybe seeking out the secret origins of the Druun, to try to find out where they come from?
:: Or maybe it turns out there are still some people/a few dragons who remain stone, and a different solution is required to bring them back? (Maybe they even need help from a Druun?)
:: Or—was Virana right to think Fang's in an awkward position, disliked by every other tribe, after the end of the movie? Does Namaari agree to undertake a task for each of the other tribes, to win their trust for Fang? (And might Raya insist on going with her, because she does in fact believe this mess isn't all Fang's fault, even if it is in part? :D)
:: Emotional hurt/comfort where Raya's struggling to handle suddenly having her dad back, having changed so much while he was stone, and Namaari awkwardly tries to be there for her?
:: Or physical h/c! Bring the Druun back, invent some bad guys who preferred Kumandra disunited, or maybe there's creepy old magic that isn't Druun lurking in the corners of the world—hurt Raya and let Namaari rescue her when she isn't expecting it ...
:: ... or hurt Namaari and let Raya rescue her when she isn't expecting it, still assuming Raya might have trusted her that one time, but doesn't actually like her! ;-;
• Or! AU me from aaaaaany point you like:
:: What if Raya hadn't taken Namaari to see the gem so quickly—would Virana have cooked up some kind of excuse for Namaari to stay longer? Would Namaari eventually have cracked and told Raya why she was there?
:: Or would she have gone to steal the gem herself, eventually, and it would've been EVEN WORSE because they were actually friends for way more than a day? ;-;
:: Or! What if Fang had suffered a problem with their water supply sooner, and Virana had turned to stone years earlier? Would Namaari have ended up calling a fragile truce with Raya, trying to get her help to fix it?
:: On the not-so-fix-it end of things, feel free to make everything worse! Give me Namaari and Raya still after each other, in a wasteland of stone, with a handful of other survivors at best ...
:: Or tell me about the world where Namaari did make a break for it at the end, gem in hand—is she able to bring Virana back with it, even when its magic is failing? Or does she go on the run with it, one step ahead of the Druun, trying to figure out how to fix it? (Does she still end up in the same place, having to trust Raya and let herself be turned to stone?)
:: But! I would also absolutely enjoy a fix-it: Fang came to Heart in the opening part not to try to steal the gem, but hoping to set up a betrothal between their princess and Heart's, if the girls got along? :D
:: Or! Total roleswap AU: Fang suffers catastrophe, Virana gets turned into stone, and canon-age Namaari is the one with a quest to bring back Sisu/steal the totally intact gem from Heart to cure her, and she isn't going to let Chief Benja—or Raya—stop her?
• And of course I'd love something where the plot is really just an excuse for the ship, too!
:: You should feel free to use "magic!" as a handwave for absolutely any get-together trope you're into: touching the gem at the same time, as Raya was handing it to Namaari, soulbonded them? :D
:: Or Namaari chases Raya into a little-known corner of Kumandra, where sex-pollen flowers grow? (And in the aftermath, they Only Hate Each Other More ... except they also can't stop thinking about it?)
:: Or! Time loop? Maybe it took more than one try for Namaari to realize what she was going to have to do at the end, to make the magic work ...
:: Honestly, I'm just weak for time travel in general—if you wanted to send a Raya from the awkward post-canon present forward to a future where she and Namaari are married and happy together ...
:: ... or a Namaari from an apocalyptic future backwards to beg her own younger self to listen to Raya when the time comes, I would be ALL OVER that. :D!
:: I also love forced proximity—Raya and Namaari stumbling into a curse that won't let them leave each other's vicinity, set either during the movie or afterward, would be amazing. :'D
• And however you'd like to bring worldbuilding into focus, with some Raya/Namaari around the edges, I'd love it!
:: Go into more detail about life in each tribe, with Raya and Namaari traveling through them post-movie trying to help people find each other/adjust to what feels to them like a six-year timeskip?
:: Or, in combination with any of the prompts above that it could apply to: Raya learning what it's like to live in Fang? Namaari discovering how things work in Heart?
:: And of course I'd be thrilled with more details about the other nations, too—Raya and Namaari visiting Boun in Tail, or Tong in Spine, or Noi and the ongis in Talon? Experiencing foods, clothes, holidays, or learning their legends about the war and the Druun and the dragons?
:: More history! I'd love for you to use the return of the dragons to exposit about what actually happened during the first conflict with the Druun, what things were like then and how they've changed ...
:: Or more about the dragons in general—how many of them there are, their names and their powers, whether Sisu has to do anything to "return" her siblings' powers to them, how disorienting it might be for them to return to such a changed world after five centuries. Anything you want to delve into, I'm there!
:: And I'd be delighted if you wanted to dive into the Druun! Sisu says at one point that the Druun come from human conflict—how true is that? (Do they just poof into existence? Is there a curse or something that creates them, and can it be broken?) Will the next clash between any two tribes bring them back? Are they "alive" in any sense, or are they essentially a (magical) force of nature?

I adore this show so much, help, and I'd love anything you'd like to make me for it! New adventures with the crew or a canon-style plot (another paying passenger or cargo transport job the Providence takes that goes supernaturally wrong or gets ~complicated somehow, or anybody on the crew ending up in magical trouble they need a little help getting out of) would be great, with as much or as little shippiness in the background as you like! And I'd love an AU branching off from anywhere you please (no storm, in the pilot? Sinbad's parents never died? Or Akbari's son survived that crack on the head?).
Or, of course, focus a little more on getting either of these pairings together! I'd love any shippy trope you want to use, and magical shenanigans leave the door wide open here: amnesia curse? Truth spell? Magic plants with sex pollen? :D Or pining! The Guardians actually let Sinbad enter an alternate universe, not an illusion, and now the Gunnar who'd never met him can't stop thinking about him, and ends up questing to the underworld to find him? Rina, post-canon, tracking down Nala and refusing to leave her alone until she agrees to come back on the ship—not wanting to acknowledge why it is that that should be so important to her? :D
This show delights me so much, considering how long it took me to even learn that it existed, and how long it's been off the air, and I love revisiting its world and its characters any chance I get! The plots are ridiculous, the SFX are kind of iffy, and the ensemble is so much fun—I love how they start out, strangers who don't especially want to be where they are, and the slow process of them all getting to know each other, discovering each other's secrets half by accident and caring about each other kind of despite themselves. ♥ SO YEAH. Anything you'd like to tell me about any of them would be fantastic!
I went into watching the show for the first time anticipating that I would end up shipping this, just because I'd already been given to understand it was a thing—but basically the second Sinbad and Gunnar made eye contact, before Sinbad even knew Gunnar's name, I was like YES THAT. :D They're so different from each other but so similar, too, with everything they're each running from and all the hurts they're ignoring or trying to hide, and I basically can't get enough of them.
• I would adore anything in the same general vein as an episode, with even the littlest hint of shippiness worked into it!
:: Physical and emotional h/c are 100% my jam, so anything where Gunnar's past starts catching up with him again, in the form of combat + him struggling internally with who he used to be, would be fantastic!
:: Or anything where Sinbad's past rears its ugly head, running into people who used to know his parents (whether friends or enemies) or his grandmother—being cursed, tricked, or hurt, but the crew (and Gunnar) come for him. ♥
:: And, of course, there are so many different ways in which the crew could take on a job that leads to action/adventure! Do they start taking on passengers again, and one of them is, you know, carrying something valuable that someone else is looking for?
:: Or has a price on their head that someone else is hoping to collect, but doesn't tell the crew that until after "someone else" has already shown up?
:: And if you're interested in it, by all means feel free to resolve that #@$% cliffhanger the show ended on—what is it that's possessed or is controlling Alehna, and what does it want with Sinbad? (Whatever it is, I expect Gunnar's got something to say about that. :D)
:: I love love love rescues and protectiveness and people who are used to being alone/not relying on anyone but themselves getting saved, so I'd adore anything where Gunnar has to go retrieve Sinbad from that city of the dead himself, or break a spell placed on him, or go after someone who's taken him ...
:: ... or gets in the way of someone trying to hurt any of the crew, and gets himself cursed or otherwise in trouble, and it's Sinbad who has to work out how to fix it. :D
• And anywhere you'd like to set up a canon-divergence AU would be fantastic!
:: What if Sinbad's father hadn't died? Would he be the emir's court magician, in a completely different Basra?
:: What would Sinbad be like, and how might he and Gunnar still have met? Would he have run across a Northman in the streets of Basra somewhere and been intrigued—or maybe Gunnar could have ended up hired as a bodyguard for his family?
:: Or if the Providence hadn't encountered that storm in the first episode, and Sinbad had stayed locked up below—would they still have found themselves making friends, slowly, over the course of the journey to the ship's original destination?
:: Or if Gunnar had been tracked down by the Khaima before the show even started—might he have ended up recruited = going after Sinbad for the deaths Sinbad has caused, except Sinbad makes friends with him instead? :D
:: Or give me something based off that vision Sinbad had in the land of the dead: if Gunnar had given up on being a trader before he ever even had a chance to board the Providence, and had sunk to the point of street fighting for money, playing on the ~barbarian thing—and then one day Sinbad tried to steal from him (or get advice on punching people? Or both!) ...
• And I'd love anything where the plot's much more closely focused on getting these two together, too. :D
:: I kind of mentioned this already, but it bears repeating: Sinbad getting ensnared in magical difficulties that Gunnar has to, like, quest or sacrifice something to get him out of would be solid gold. :D
:: AND I also love this the other way around, with any tropey or magical circumstances that might require Sinbad to be all clever and kind and brash and Sinbad-y to get Gunnar out of a trap/someone's clutches safely. ♥
:: And when I say tropey, I mean it: the magic and the settings in Sinbad are so handwavy that you can do almost anything you please! Maybe Gunnar's trapped in a time loop?
:: Or the crew reaches an island covered in sex pollen plants?
:: Literal lotus eaters who manage to enchant Sinbad with visions of an ideal world—and Gunnar has to find a way to convince him it's not real!
:: Or Sinbad drinks from the wrong magical spring, and discovers he can't lie anymore—or maybe that he can't tell the truth? :D
:: Or it turns out drinking from the same magical cup, during a feast at a sorceress's house, gave them telepathy with each other?
• And in the background or foreground of any other prompt, I'd be thrilled for you to make some stuff up!
:: What are things like, where Gunnar is from? How is magic done (like Taryn, with chicken blood and lots of eyeliner, or not)? What magical creatures live there?
:: Are the Valsgard just raiders and berserkers ... or was there more to it? Do they sell their souls for fighting prowess—and now Gunnar needs to go get his back?
:: Or toss in some Gunnar backstory, what he saw and did when he left them and traveled aaaaaaall the way to Basra. Places he went through on the way? People he met?
:: Or, on Sinbad's side, tell me about daily life in Basra vs on the Providence!
:: What kinds of stories has his grandmother told him? How much does he know about his parents or about magic? (And if you want to try to make something coherent out of the emir "supporting science over magic", when that happened and why, be my guest! :D)
:: And for the record, you also should feel no pressure to be 100% compliant with either canon (which didn't make sense half the time anyway) or actual history—feel free to base any worldbuilding you want to do on the real world/actual history, but also don't feel like you need to do exhaustive research or anything, because *waves hands* it is SINBAD.
I'm so easy for the princess/thief dynamic, it's unreal—they're so prickly with each other at first, and they clearly don't get along easily, and yet by the time Nala leaves the ship I feel like they've genuinely started to care about and respect each other, and I love that kind of slow build so, so much. :D So anything that leans into their arguments and differences, how much trouble they have understanding each other's attitudes, and yet how far they get together and how much they end up caring about each other, would be fantastic!
• I'd adore anything that ties into canon somehow, or any episode-like plot you'd like to fit into the show somewhere!
:: Always here for Rina getting herself or others into trouble by taking things that don't belong to her, or touching magical objects when she shouldn't! :D
:: Or, of course, anything to do with Nala and her status and her backstory, people trying to kidnap her or marry her—and Rina ready to throw a wrench in the middle of it.
:: Feel free to write something set between episodes, when Nala's still on the ship! Does the crew agree to find something for someone, except it turns out to need stealing, and then Rina gets caught—and Nala has to do something about it? (Pretends to be a noblewoman tracking down a troublesome servant, or looking for this thief who stole something from her, too?)
:: Or set this post-canon, and get Nala back on the ship or the crew back in Basra any way you like! Do they head back to visit her only to find out that something's happened to her, someone's nabbed her or enspelled her and they need to get her back/break it?
:: Or does Death come after Nala a second time? Maybe even succeeds in taking her, which means Rina's got to break into the land of the dead again and steal her back? :D
• And I'd be delighted if you wanted to tackle canon-divergence from any point!
:: Honestly, I would LOVE something that's just straight-up "Nala doesn't leave the Providence" AU—by all means still let them end up picking up Tiger in addition, and then let the rest of the show start to change?
:: Or give me the crew (or even just Rina) choosing to stay with her in Basra to help get Taryn's mess cleaned up and put things to rights. ♥ (And of course that could easily go wrong, given whatever magical residue might have been left behind by those shadows, or the doors Taryn opened to let them into the city ...)
:: I would also be 100% there for any other variation branching off from any earlier point: Nala and Rina meeting in Basra, before Nala and her father have even decided they need to leave the city on the Providence—because she'd totally have tried to steal from them if she'd spotted them before Sinbad, y/y?
:: Or Rina, still a slave, is bought by Nala's father to attend his daughter while they're in Basra?
:: Or the Providence never encounters that storm (my go-to!)—Rina can't hide below forever! How might they encounter each other? Would Nala notice things going missing, food and jewelry and the like, and track down the thief?
:: Or if Death had married Nala after all, her father unable to get her away in time, how might the queen of the land of the dead encounter Rina? (Rina nearly dies a few times, and she's so annoying Nala lets her live each time instead of keeping her—or at least it starts out that way?)
• Or make the get-together the plot! :D
:: This would be an AWESOME fuckbuddies-to-lovers pairing, if you're interested in that at all—Rina trying to find a way to, like, hold something over Nala, to make sure she has something Nala wants, even if it's "just sex", except then it's not really "just sex" anymore. :D
:: Or anything focused on the two of them, with your average Sinbad-esque magical shenanigans! Rina gets magicked so everyone's acting like they're in love with her, and only Nala seems unaffected! (Because Nala's that into her all the time, so of COURSE nothing has changed ...)
:: Or something removes Nala from everybody's memories—and she hadn't realized exactly how much Rina trusted her until it stops? *________*
:: I know I'm mostly just throwing lists of tropes at you at this point, but, seriously, TROPES. Huddling for warmth? Handcuffed together? Accidentally magically bound and sharing emotions?
:: Or indulge my competence kink: Rina having to teach Nala how to steal—or Nala having to coach Rina through pretending to be a noblewoman? :D
• And I would love it if you wanted to fill in any worldbuilding or share some headcanon on the way, too!
:: Aaaaaanything you've got in mind about Nala's country and her people, about her mother and her flight to Basra with her father, would be AWESOME.
:: And by all means revisit that deal with Death! Was that actually Death in 1.04? Was him not knowing Nala hadn't cried an indicator that that was a trickster of some kind pretending to be Death? Just how often do people end up promised to Death like this, and have any of them gotten out of it before?
:: And Rina and her awful backstory, oh, the delicious angst! Anything you have in mind about where she's from, what her parents were like and why they sold her ("because they were desperate" and "because they were awful" are equally acceptable answers!), would be wonderful. Painful, but wonderful!
:: Or, of course, how she ended up in Basra, the places she passed through and/or experiences she had on the way there, why she picked the Providence to try to steal from and what exactly her plan was supposed to be for getting off the ship before it left ...
:: Or! Anything else you'd like to delve into involving either or both of them—how magic works where they're from vs what they've seen of Taryn or Sinbad's grandmother's curse?
:: The differences between the cities they came from, the clothes, the food (Rina and her goulash! Nala and her jewelry!)
:: Legends they each know and end up comparing, if they're placed in a situation that reminds each of them of totally different stories from their own people!

Constantine (2005)
Angela Dodson
Angela Dodson
I would be STOKED with anything you'd like to make me that's centered on Angela! ANYTHING. :D I absolutely love every part of her character arc, her struggle to rediscover herself and trust herself after spending so many years telling herself her powers weren't real, the quietly excruciating loss of Isabel and the equally quiet connection she forms with John, how she deals with this whole other huge awful side of reality spilling out in front of her ... ANGELA FOREVER. ♥
• I would adore anything canon-compliant, set at any point before the movie:
:: Scenes from Angela and Isabel's childhood? Both the moments of perfect mutual understanding, and the moments where Angela turned her back on Isabel ... ;-;
Dark Matter (TV)
Nyx Harper/Misaki Han-Shireikan, Three | Marcus Boone/Six | Kal Varrik
Nyx/Misaki
:: Or would Misaki want to kill her, but need to keep her on as a figurehead?
Three/Six
:: Get Three arrested by the GA, so Six has to go undercover as himself to get him out, and Three assumes it's just that he betrayed them again! ;-;
:: Or it's all in Three's head: one of the aliens just made him see it happen, feel it, so much so that he thinks it was real, and Six has no idea why he won't look Six in the eye anymore ... ;-;
:: Just in general, I would adore all kinds of longer and more fraught arguments with each other about Six's betrayal, with Six gradually realizing that it stung Three weirdly deeply, and Three having to admit he'd genuinely trusted and started to ~feel things about Six. ;-;
Jeremiah (TV)
Theo Coleridge
Theo Coleridge
Anything!
Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)
Namaari/Raya
Namaari/Raya
:: ... or hurt Namaari and let Raya rescue her when she isn't expecting it, still assuming Raya might have trusted her that one time, but doesn't actually like her! ;-;
• Or! AU me from aaaaaany point you like:
:: What if Raya hadn't taken Namaari to see the gem so quickly—would Virana have cooked up some kind of excuse for Namaari to stay longer? Would Namaari eventually have cracked and told Raya why she was there?
:: Or would she have gone to steal the gem herself, eventually, and it would've been EVEN WORSE because they were actually friends for way more than a day? ;-;
Sinbad (TV)
Gunnar/Sinbad, Nala/Rina
Gunnar/Sinbad
Nala/Rina
OKAY, THAT'S IT. If you got this far by actually reading all of that, bless you for bearing with me and I hope it was at least a little entertaining! :D Thank you so much for your patience and your interest; with any luck, at least some of that will be useful to you, and have a fantastic time with FFFX! ♥
