Somehow there's always so much to say!

I'm delighted you've signed up for Yuletide, author. :D First things first: if you don't like long letters, TURN BACK NOW. You don't have to read one single word of this if you don't want to; I have no hard DNWs you have to look out for, and I love these fandoms so much that I'd be thrilled to receive anything I can think of. I've only posted this letter to give you more to go on if you're interested. Feel free to close it at any point and forget it ever existed, and have a fantastic time writing me whatever it is you want most to write!
If you do like having some prompts and optional details to work with, then, um, I'm still a little bit sorry about this, but less so. :D Jump around or skim or whatever suits you! You won't miss anything crucial, I promise. I just like to talk a lot about stuff I love, and I tend to get a little carried away. /o\ I've tried to keep this decently organized and easy to navigate, and hopefully not too much of a pain to read.
These days I'm mostly just a faceless exchange-fic machine, but I'm on the AO3 at Damkianna, I ... once crossposted things besides exchange letters to LJ/DW at
damkianna/
damkianna, and I also used to kind of have a tumblr at
damkianna. They're all a bit cobwebby now, but I promise my tastes haven't changed much! :D
Other letters I've written are in my Yuletide tag, my rarewomen/rarelywritten tags, and my Fandom 5K tag. If there's a prompt in any of those letters for a fandom I've requested for Yuletide that appeals to you, but I didn't repeat that prompt, by all means write it anyway! (And don't feel bound by any of my old DNWs, either.)
In General | Dark Matter (TV) | Hellboy (movies)
Maleficent (2014) | Pride & Prejudice & Zombies (2016)
If you'd feel guilty just closing out of this but you're really not looking forward to slogging your way through it, NO WORRIES. Here's the bottom line: that intro paragraph was totally honest. There isn't anything you need to make sure you don't give me, and there isn't anything you need to worry I won't like. :D
I'm here for shipfic and gen; smut and worldbuilding; introspection and action; fluff and horror; h/c and deathfic ... I don't usually manage to include prompts for ALL of those things (particularly darker stuff), but I promise I would be happy to receive them! If there's anything you've been longing to write about some characters we matched on, but you suspect your idea should be categorized as "opt-in": please consider this me opting into it, whatever it is. Weird, sad, scary, gory, kinky—it's all good!
And to elaborate further still, I love and would be glad to receive any/all/any combo of:
• shipfic of all types! I multiship in most of my fandoms and enjoy f/f, f/m, m/m, romances involving nonbinary or genderless characters, and poly of all configurations; I'm absolutely here for age gaps, incest, and the whole spectrum of relationships from "sweet" to "super fucked up". You should feel free to write about any ship you ship, and 1k of PWP would be just as delightful as 1k of pre-shippiness/shippy-if-you-squint/unrequited feelings. :D
• gen of all types! I would love fic about any of my requested characters by themselves, or any grouping or subgrouping (and here is your explicit permission statement, by the way: you do NOT need to include all the characters I've requested in my gift! Any one of them alone, any subgroup if I've requested more than one person, or all of them, plus or minus other characters in the canon I didn't request, is fine by me). 1k of pre-canon backstory or missing scenes, post-canon introspection about where to go from here, character studies or friendship fic or a 1k snippet of the next adventure—anything!
• free space! Which is to say anything that I'm inevitably going to manage to leave off your metaphorical bingo card. :D Your personal favorite tropes or clichés (arranged marriage! Undercover gay! Secretly a werewolf! Accidental telepathy!), AUs of all types (it's all happening in the Old West! Someone turned right instead of left! The characters didn't meet until S2!), or anything unusual/experimental you're interested in trying (second person! Interactive fiction! Fake documentation! 1K IN FUTURE CONDITIONAL). Ignore all my prompts, pick something you enjoy, and GO WILD.
I like cozy fic and thrilling fic, darkfic and fix-it fic, tense fic and comforting fic. I'm as interested in OCs and worldbuilding as I am in quiet canon-compliant episode tags where canonical characters have a lot of feelings. Outsider POV, alternate character interpretations, and rarepairs are all more than welcome. A thousand words about any aspect of canon you're interested in—or any aspect of canon you'd change, or want to explore, or are a little creeped out by—would be wonderful, and any sort of format is fine with me, long-form poetry or ten exact drabbles. WHATEVER YOU WANT. :D Knock yourself out and have a good Yuletide, that's all I ask! ♥
back to top
I know this is kind of an odd combination of characters, so, right up front: you don't have to get all four of these people in one fic! I would love to read about any of them solo, or any combination that interests you most. :D Misaki's backstory, training with the palace guard and scheming, and never quite able to stop pining for Ryo? AU where Nyx did agree to marry Four and be empress, and the fallout? Yes please! Six and all his awkward guilty S2 feelings about needing to prove himself to Two again—or the moments leading up to that explosion at the end of S3? Two ... or Rebecca, or Portia, any of her past selves in any scenario, or trying to move forward as just Two after getting possessed by that alien blob? Absolutely!
I love this show and everybody on it, so as long as at least one of my requested characters is featured somewhere, go wild! I ship all of these people with all the others, and I'm more than happy to have any and every other member of the crew or other background characters appear, too (Devon, Arax, John Anders, Hiro, Sarah, Dr. Shaw, Teku, anybody's alternate selves from the other universe ...). And I feel like it's especially important for this request to mention that fic focusing on canonical character deaths, or killing characters I've requested (for example, if you'd like to write about Six not surviving the S3 finale) is just as welcome as fix-it fic or AUs where nobody dies at all. :D
I'm still so sad that this show got canceled (and on SUCH A CLIFFHANGER *claws face* AUGH), but hey, that's what fic is for. :D Please rest assured that I enjoy all kinds of different elements of it and would be thrilled with anything—Misaki being spiteful and murdering people who are in her way, or creepy fic about Two in the aftermath of having that alien controlling her, BUT ALSO cozy fic about Nyx and Two flirt-sparring during their downtime, or Six absolutely 100% surviving the finale and reuniting with the crew and everything being fine. Whichever way you want to go!
One quick side note: setting AUs are totally okay here, BUT I'd appreciate it if the "crew of outlaws" + "amnesia" elements could be retained one way or another, if possible. :D
There are so many things that interest me about Misaki—and please rest assured that that list absolutely includes what a terrible violent mess she is and how scheming and unkind and sharp-edged she can be, so I promise I'm not asking you to pretend she's not awful. ;D I just find her really fascinating, how cool and standoffish and unaffected she can appear on the surface, and yet how much ugly uncontrolled anger and resentment is lurking underneath that chilly exterior. Her relationship with power and with her own goals, the things she'll do and the prices she'll pay to achieve them, how unapologetic she is about her choices even when they are SO NOT GOOD ... seriously, I eat that up with a spoon. :D
• Backstory would be great! Which, if you're at all interested in doing some worldbuilding about Zairon, by all means indulge yourself. :D
- I love all the potential for nasty complicated court intrigue just as much as that weirdly adorable little story Misaki told about Ryo pranking her when they were kids!
- I'd love 1k about her childhood, about what it was like to grow up alongside the imperial family like that.
- Her early training? Her time in the imperial guard, and how she managed to rise into position as captain after Four killed Akita?
- Her perspective on the dowager empress, or on Ryo's father's death and Ryo's exile, or how her rivalry with Teku began?
• Or! Anything about Misaki set during the show would also be amazing. :D
- How does she feel about having to serve Hiro as her emperor? What was the situation in court like? Did she ever consider killing him? (If she did, what stopped her?)
- What was she thinking/doing/planning during Ryo's attempted coup and capture—did she want all the Seers dead, or was she surprised?
- I would love (but also hate ;-; BUT ALSO LOVE) all her resentful jealous feelings about overhearing that conversation between Ryo and Nyx, and the process of planning for and taking the opportunity to kill Nyx when it arose.
- Or something about the moment when Ryo found out what she'd done—or, of course, that fight with Two, and the instant she realized she wasn't going to win it ...
• Obviously any futurefic about Misaki kind of has to be an AU (unless you'd like to introduce her counterpart from another universe, ofc :D)!
- I'd love "fix-it" from her perspective where Ryo can in fact be convinced to make her empress just as much as I'd love fix-it from everyone else's perspective where Nyx knocks her out and the crew of the Raza takes her prisoner as a bargaining chip to use with Ryo ...
- Or branch off from any other point you like! If Ryo had succeeded in keeping and duplicating the blink drive, and Zairon's fleets utterly wrecked Pyr and rolled unstoppably through the galaxy—would Misaki ever have a reason to regret her decisions?
- Or if she'd managed to kill Ryo and make herself empress regnant, could she have succeeded? Was she right to think her particular brand of ruthless strategy could have won the war with Pyr?
• And of course shipfic's totally welcome, too! In 1k, I wouldn't expect anything to necessarily make it past some kind of fucked-up hate-UST, but I'd be delighted to receive Misaki/Nyx, Misaki/Six, or Misaki/Two—or Misaki/Ryo (whether messy and one-sided, as in canon, or eventually reciprocated!), or Misaki/basically anyone else I can think of.
- If Nyx had beaten Misaki and taken her prisoner, could grudging admiration have turned into something more complicated? Or if Nyx had become empress, what with being a Seer and all, might Misaki have decided to manipulate her into an alliance (even if she planned to kill her later)?
- Would Six try to redeem her? (Oh, Six. :D) Or just end up calmly talking about the "right thing" at her while she insulted him?
- In a universe where she didn't kill Nyx, or hadn't yet—could Two have ended up grudgingly reaching out to her (trying anything/everything to get the blink drive back from Ryo, maybe)?
- Or, venturing a bit sideways—might she ever have tried to seduce Hiro to make him easier to manipulate, while Ryo was gone?
- OR MAYBE MISAKI/TEKU HATESEX. :D
- I'm sure Alternate-Three would LOVE for Misaki to choke-bang him, if their paths ever crossed somehow ...
- I don't know how it would happen, but for the record 1k of the android observing Misaki and trying to work out her reasoning for the things she does, in her blandly patient android way, would be A++. :D
It's been a WHOLE SEASON and I'm still not over Nyx's death! ;-; I loved her so much, and I was so sad—which, Two's hallucination of her at the beginning of S3 was an amazing and unexpected gift, even if I can't help but keep wishing she hadn't died at all. :D Please don't feel like you're under any obligation to resurrect her or AU away her death, though! I would adore 1k of Two hallucinating her again under new circumstances, or 1k of her perspective on the leadup to her murder, the moment she felt the first symptoms of poisoning and what she might have seen happening next with her precognition, knowing she was going to die. JUST RIP MY HEART OUT. /o\ :D
• But you can always dodge the whole issue and write me backstory! I'd absolutely love to read 1k of pre-canon Nyx (and Milo, if you like) as a child or young adult.
- The first time Nyx was placed in the Seers' machinery and understood what she'd be used for—what is it like to be part of their linked-up hive-mind, making projections that far into the future?
- The first time it occurred to her that she could escape? (How did she manage to plan it without any of the other Seers predicting it? Or maybe she messed up the first couple times and was too predictable?)
- OCs are welcome, if you'd like to write about relationships she might have had among the Seers!
- Or how she ended up in prison, and who she might have met there before the crew showed up. :D
• And of course I'd be thrilled with anything set during the show while she's still canonically alive!
- Meeting Two and Three and Four in prison! What did she think of them when they first arrived? Was she already intending to escape and they just made it easier, or was she thinking prison was one place the Seers wouldn't be able to get to her?
- And then once she got out with them—was Milo the first thing on her mind? Did she feel any guilt for not explaining what she was really after, or was Milo just too important for her to even consider taking the risk?
- Basically anything from her perspective about being on the Raza, getting used to a new ship when she'd been raised on the Seers' vessel her whole life, the moment she really started to feel like crew or think of it as home ...
- Or anything with a slightly wider scope! Her POV on Four taking his memories back, how painful that was, or on Zairon and Pyr, the corporations (was she fed data, with the Seers, that means she's better informed about the galaxy than the rest of the crew?), whatever odds she's calculated about the various conflicts. Anything!
• As noted, by all means make me cry here, either with deathfic or by taunting me with all the possibilities we never got to see:
- Nyx's POV on Eos 7 and their odds of success, the lead-in to the fight with Misaki and the moment she realized she'd lose! ;-; Two can't stop hallucinating her, a lot further into S3 than we were shown! ;-;
- Or—if she'd accepted Ryo's offer to make her empress, would she have survived it? Presumably there'd be plenty of new enemies at court, but could she have found a way (or, reluctantly, used enough Shadow) to see them coming and survive?
- Could she have changed the course of the conflict with Pyr, or the uprising/Misaki's coup attempt? Could she have even seen the "black ships" coming, if she'd had the right data?
- Or, of course, if the android had reached the bridge in time to help her—or the android had been on the bridge instead, when Misaki arrived, and it had been Nyx who'd confronted Ryo in the engine room?
• And I'd love to read about pretty much any pairing that includes Nyx, too!
- Nyx/Devon? I hugely enjoyed Devon's ridiculous angsty doctor backstory, so if emotional h/c is your thing, feel free to indulge! (Could Nyx have caught some extra bit of information that gave her a flash of vision about the attack that killed him—could she have found him in time to save him?)
- Nyx/Two? I would absolutely love any tropey thing you'd like to write here about them rescuing each other, or trapped on a planet and huddling for warmth, or sex-pollened, or dumped sideways into a different alternate universe where they're married! ANYTHING. :D
- Nyx/Three? Three offers to be her sparring partner after Ryo's left, and Nyx kicks his ass but totally appreciates the gesture! Whenever Three gets drunk he starts telling Nyx how pretty she is in relentless earnest detail! :D (Nyx/Two/Three: ALSO AN A++ CHOICE.)
- Nyx/Four and/or Nyx/Ryo would be wonderful, in any direction you'd like to take it; anything from her POV on how they came together and how it fell apart, as wrenching as you'd like to get ... or give me 1k of the AU where Four decides not to take back Ryo's memories.
- Nyx/Six—early in S2, was she maybe easier to talk to than anyone from the S1 crew, for Six? Did he repay the favor by listening to her talk about Milo? (... I'll admit I see this as a slower burn, so 1k of them interacting with some light UST would TOTALLY work for me. :D)
- Nyx/android! Nyx was sort of part of a machine once, and she's got a gift for calculation; they have more common ground than it might appear, and I'd love to see them explore it a little. :D
SIIIIIIIIIIIX. ♥ I love everything about Six, his double backstory as Griffin Jones/Kal Varrik and all his terrible angsty GA issues, and how hard he tries to do the right thing—and HIS WILLINGNESS TO MAKE THE SACRIFICE PLAY, aaaaaaaa. /o\ WHY, FINALE. WHY. *shakes fist* I absolutely adored his whole arc, from betraying the crew to the GA to trying to make it up to them, repentant but not willing to give up on them or himself, needing to prove himself to Two and dealing with Three's distrust. Trying to help the colonies achieve independence, and getting so frustrated with their pettiness! NOT EVERYONE'S LOOKING AT THE BIG PICTURE, SIX. ♥
• So, yeah. Please feel free to write me anything you like about Six's backstory at any point!
- As Kal Varrik, just starting out at the GA and getting partnered with John Anders—was it easy for them to make friends, or did they maybe not get along so hot at first?
- Early moments in his relationship with Laura, and delving a little deeper into how their marriage ended up on the rocks?
- Going undercover in the General's group! Or the aftermath, trying to work out where he fits in the GA afterward and discovering he maybe doesn't?
- Going undercover again as Griffin Jones! How did he convince Portia to let him join up, anyhow? What did he know about the crew beforehand? (Did he have any suspicions about "Jace Corso"? What did he think of Boone? The android?)
• And of course I'd love anything set during the show, at any point—pilot to finale and anywhere in between. :D
- S1 Six learning more about Griffin Jones, and/or uncovering Kal Varrik, and how he felt about each of them! Tell me how relieved he was, to think he'd been a cop instead of a robber? Or maybe how uncomfortable he was, to learn he'd been lying to the rest of the crew before they all got wiped?
- Just when was it he got in touch with the GA, before the S1 finale? Were there false starts, moments where he meant to do it but talked himself out of it, or did he decide and that was it?
- Absolutely aaaaaanything set in S2, trying to earn everyone's forgiveness and redefine himself, wrestling with what he's learned about the GA and One's death, Four leaving, ANY OF IT. :D
- Or! Leaving the Raza again but for a much better reason, learning his way around the colonies and trying to get them to support each other—seriously, if you have any interest whatsoever in fictional space politics, by all means indulge yourself!
- And anything from Six's POV about the late-game developments, the alien invasion or Three's panic response and weird connection with them, Ryo's unexpected return and Two not executing him after all, whatever you're interested in. :D
• I'd adore 1k of the most nobly self-sacrificing finale-based Six angst just as much as any resolution where he lives or any AU you'd like:
- His own perspective leading up to the final moments before the explosion! ;-; I WILL WRITE YOU THE BEST COMMENT I CAN THROUGH MY TEARS.
- But, of course, I'd also be thrilled if he lived! Might he just have gotten hurled through the rift and into blob-alien space, and need to find his way back to the right dimension?
- Or maybe the aliens would capture him to force him to serve as an intermediary? (I'm as up for body horror and creepy ambiguous endings as I am for the crew figuring out how to break the aliens' hold and rescue him. JUST FYI.)
- Or! Tell me about the AU where he stuck with the GA at the beginning of S2 instead of returning to the Raza. Would he have gone undercover again? Found himself looking for a way back to them? (Could he convince Anders to come with him? :D)
- Or just straight-up fix-it: is there some way he might have realized what was up with Two/that the explosion would be a bad idea? Could he and the crew have found a way to prevent the aliens from succeeding?
• I'm also so very here for Six shipfic, with anybody and everybody! If I leave your favorite Six ship off this list, GIVE IT TO ME ANYWAY. I WILL LOVE IT.
- Six/Anders! Don't tell me they didn't have to go undercover in a gay space bar at LEAST once, or get drugged with truth serum by criminals who suspected they were cops, or *waves hands* SOMETHING. :D (And unrequited angst where Anders is head over heels for Six while Six is still happily married would be great here, too!)
- Six/One? In S1, when they've identified each other as The Other Good Guy? Or maybe later—in an AU where One didn't die, would they find themselves working to find a way out for the rest of the crew, despite all Six's rationalizations ... and maybe also banging away the loneliness, trying to hold each other together until they can get back to the Raza?
- Six/Two! Ngl, I really really loved the tinge of near-loyalty-kink in Six's desire to prove himself to Two in S2 and earn her trust back, and I would absolutely be over the moon about something self-indulgent and tropey where he sacrifices himself for the crew and she ~comes for him when he didn't think she would. *_______*
- Six/Three, oh, man, I ADORE these guys and their whole wonderfully thorny relationship, and the trapped-in-a-shuttle-together episode was like something out of a dream! :D Make them pretend to be married for a con? Have one of them rescue the other, with a side of h/c? (Six/Two/Three is DEFINITELY also on the table, just fyi.)
- Or have Six talking to Four—or Ryo—about making good choices/making up for making bad ones, with all the Six/Four or Six/Ryo undertones you can jam in there?
- Six/android! I'd be thrilled with 1k of the android posing hypothetical ethics questions that Six is trying to answer, tbh, or anything where the android's trying to work out her sense of personhood/her feelings about the "upgrade" with Six's help. :D
TWO. :D There are so many things I love about Two, I don't even know where to start—what a badass she is, and yet how deeply she cares, that she's so physically unstoppable but in some ways so emotionally unsure of herself, just trying to figure herself out and take care of her crew in a universe that seems dedicated to making both of those things as difficult as possible. ♥ OH TWO. Her angsty backstory + her intensity about this little found family + her struggles with right and wrong are a combination I just can't get enough of, and I would love to read anything you want to write me about Two!
• S3 was such a goldmine of Two backstory—I'd be thrilled with any part of it that you're interested in exploring!
- Her POV on her time as Rebecca in the Dwarf Star facility? The earliest beginnings of her relationship with Dr. Shaw? Her escape, and trying to find her way to Dr. Shaw's apartment after? From creepy to fluffy, anywhere in between, or both at once!
- Or tell me about the aftermath: leaving the planet with Dr. Shaw, and finding that facility; the early stages of turning it into a shelter for androids, and the tragedy of Dr. Shaw's illness, Rebecca having to watch its progression until Shaw went into stasis—FEEL FREE TO TEAR MY HEART OUT. ;-;
- Or Portia! How exactly did Rebecca transition into Portia? Where did she get the Raza? How'd she get in business with Tabor? How strange was it for her, seeing the android with Shaw's face every day? (If you've got any headcanon about her daughter, or any of the other stuff Ryo revealed—if it was even true—by all means tell me about it!)
- We saw how Das ended up on the Raza, but not anybody else! Did they join up, or did Portia recruit them? What did she think of each of them? Why didn't she kill "Griffin" the moment she suspected him? Did she have any suspicions about "Corso"?
• Or tell me anything about Two from anywhere during the show—and I love missing scenes, episode tags, and canon-compliance, but if you want to just write 1k of the beginning of a con job from *waves hands* somewhere in S1, that's a-okay too. :D
- S1 Two, still not quite sure what she is, concealing her already-healed injuries ... did she have any hypotheses about what she might turn out to be or why? Or was she just trying not to think about it, until Dwarf Star and Rook made it impossible?
- Or dealing with all the change and loss and struggle in S2—One's death, shooting Corso for it, her nanites failing her (do the upgraded ones feel any different to her?), Four leaving them ...
- Or, of course, S3! Losing Nyx, Six taking his leave temporarily, adding on Adrian and Solara, jumping through time, discovering SO MUCH about her origins at last, casting that deciding vote on Ryo's fate—and that's not even getting into the whole, you know, alien invasion thing. :D
• And of course AUs and futurefic are more than welcome, too!
- Could she have forced that alien out of her, if she'd had a bit more time (maybe the upgraded nanites could have rejected/eliminated it?), and saved Six?
- Or tell me what you think happens next: how does the crew reunite, save each other and themselves and start trying to work out where to go from here?
- What might have happened if she'd decided not to execute Ryo, but rather to wipe him again?
- Or if (to help her access the strongbox? Because she doesn't know what to do with whatever's inside?) she decided to take back Portia's imprint, to look for her daughter ...
• Plus, of course, I ship Two with pretty much everybody. :D I discussed Misaki/Two, Nyx/Two, and Six/Two above, but that still leaves all kinds of options:
- Two/One! Anything that covers any part of their S1 relationship would be wonderful; and fix-it for One's death is absolutely welcome, as is 1k of Two all stonefaced and vengeful and coolly shooting Jace Corso in the head. (One/Two/Three? ALSO VERY MUCH WELCOME.)
- Two/Three! Post-canon, they've both been controlled by blob-aliens—could that give them a mental link? :D (Or does Three start having the same reaction to Two that he had to the anomaly? D:) Or set it at any other point you like; I'm 100% here for S1 fuckbuddies pretending not to have feelings, or Three getting beat up and Two coming to his rescue, or getting trapped in a confined space together. ANYTHING. :D
- Two/Four? Especially going all sorts of complicated and prickly, with Ryo taking the blink drive like that and Two demonstrating her willingness to kill him for the rest of the crew? *______*
- Two/android? Rebecca/Shaw? Portia/android? All three at various points? GO WILD. :D I loved Rebecca and Shaw's story and would be thrilled to have it explored, just as much as I love Two and the android deciding that whoever they're based off of or used to be, they're their own selves now with their own relationship. ♥
back to top
I love everything about these movies so much—the plot, the action, the humor, the cheese, the affection, the aesthetics. Everything! The heroism in the face of near-insurmountable odds, the barely-fathomable eldritch weirdness peeking around the corners of the world, all the magic and wonder and horror and ~team feelings. I'm requesting Nuala in particular, but please rest assured that I saw and loved the first movie and all the characters in it, and I'd be more than happy to see John again if you'd like to bring him back from Antarctica. :D Ensemble BPRD-centric fic that features Nuala somehow or pre-canon fic about Nuala solo would be equally welcome!
I'd be delighted with any worldbuilding about the elven court and the king and the clans you'd like to do, if that's something that interests you. Or! 1k of a missing scene from somewhere during Golden Army? Nuala on the run, trying to decide where to go next—the moment she meets Abe, and that sudden sense of connection to someone new where she's only ever had Nuada? Canon-divergence AU where she lives and things work out differently? Or her perspective on what it feels like to die—and knowing she's not alone, Nuada dying with her, hoping she's made the right choice but of course she'll never know the outcome for sure. ;-; Shipfic would be fantastic, too, no matter who you ship her with! Nuala/Nuada, Nuala/Abe, Nuala/HB or Liz or John or Johann ... or anything else that appeals!
There's so much I love about these movies that it's hard to even know where to start! /o\ :D I adore the characters and their relationships with each other, the ways in which they're huge messes and the ways in which they look after each other; and the universe, everything that's unsettling and beautiful and dangerous about this place where dark gods are trying to bust open secret doorways and elf princes forge spears in subway tunnels. And the BPRD, the team, these outsiders who've found each other and become friends and made it their job to help people—there's nothing about that that isn't tailor-made to suit my id! So, yeah. Please rest assured there's nothing you can write me in this fandom that I won't enjoy!
There were lots of things I liked in Golden Army, but Nuala really filled my eyes with hearts. :D She's just so interesting to me on so many levels—that she's this seemingly gentle, ethereal elf-princess, but in the end also the one foe Nuada didn't plan for and can't defeat; and where all else failed, every other safeguard toppled, she managed to keep her piece of the crown away from him and save the world ... which is to say the human world, a world that didn't know she existed and which she had no reason to value. There's just SO MUCH to explore there, and I'd love a thousand words focusing on just about any element of Nuala's character you like!
• Pre-canon, there's room to do all kinds of worldbuilding, if that's something you've got an interest in:
- What was the world like when Nuala was a girl? Who was her mother? (Or do elves just grow new elves like trees?) With more magic than humans, and the elves ascendant—what was the court of the elves like then, and how did she spend her time?
- What adventures might she have gone on? Did she (and Nuada, if you'd like to include him) ever travel to visit other clans, or other creatures' courts?
- Is there any particular reason why she might like humans more than Nuada does? Did she know any, back then, or befriend one once?
- She was presumably around when the Army was created, and when Nuada was exiled—what did she think of it all? What was the experience of Nuada's exile like, through their link?
- Seriously, any headcanon you have or worldbuilding you want to indulge in about Clan Bethmoora, or other clans and intra-/inter-clan alliances and politicking, would be wonderful!
• Or tell me anything you like about Nuala or her perspective on events during the span of the movie!
- I absolutely loved the tropey amazingness of her psychic abilities and her bond with Nuada, so anything from her POV that incorporates that and her being on the run from him (presumably trying not to think or feel anything that would lead him to her) would be wonderful!
- Her POV on Nuada's return and her father's death—mixed feelings, I'm sure! Was she glad to see him? Torn between his sense of triumph and/or conviction and her own fear and mourning?
- And I'd love to read anything about her flight from the court, meeting Abe, the BPRD, Hellboy and the Army and the duel ... the burden on her, knowing what's at stake and that her people are fading, but also her sweetness and curiosity about the BPRD library and Abe and all these new things. :D
- Or, of course, break my heart! I'd guessed pretty early on what might happen to her, but oh, man, her resolve and bravery at the end there just KILLED me. ;-; Feel free to twist the knife!
• But naturally I'd also be thrilled if you felt like writing a bit of fix-it—or an AU where things turn out differently, if not necessarily better:
- Could her link with Nuada have been broken at just the right moment? Or replaced by a link with Abe?
- She presumably experienced all Nuada's training with weapons, through the link—and of course she's the one person he wouldn't want to deal a serious wound to. Could she have dueled him herself? Or secured all the pieces of the crown and won control of the Army?
- Or could something (like, say, Liz's fire) have destroyed her piece of the crown, so Nuada could never have completed it?
- Or go the other way: what if Nuada had succeeded before she'd even had a chance to stop him? What would that future look like, for her and for everyone else?
• And of course I ship ALL THE THINGS, so if you'd like to write me shipfic that includes Nuala, have at it. :D
- I'd absolutely love 1k of Nuala/Abe, fleshing out their understated canonical romance a bit more, with missing scenes or more conversation. Or! Some kind of *waves hands* tropey AU—like, the BPRD decides to try to forge an alliance with the elves to stop Nuada before he gets started = arranged marriage between an agent and an elven princess? :D?
- Or Nuala/Nuada! I'm here for this in any flavor you like: I read their connection as genuinely profound and meaningful to both of them, and Nuada's affection for her as at least some degree of sincere ... but of course that easily tips over into obsession, possessiveness, and manipulation, considering what he's like. Sweet, creepy, or both at once—go for it!
- Nuala/HB? In a handwavy AU where Nuala lives and remains a guest of the BPRD ... HB is a prince! Maybe a curse or spell or something ends up requiring him to marry a princess? :D
- Nuala/Liz? Honestly I'd be thrilled with 1k of missing scene where they get to talk a little, with only the barest shippy undertones! Or if Liz were, say, turned into a dragon, might a princess be the only one who could approach her safely?
- And if you wanted to let Nuala survive and run away with the rest of the team at the end of Golden Army, and get swept up in some grand polygonal Nuala/Abe/HB/Liz(/John) romance, that would be AMAZING. :D

I absolutely adored this movie when it first came out, and it occurred to me this year that I was due for a rewatch—just in time for Yuletide. :D I love fairytale retellings in general, and also AUs and stories retold from different characters' perspectives, and then this movie was just SO BEAUTIFUL and it had ANGELINA JOLIE and Aurora was so sweet and lovely, I mean. DREAM COME TRUE, as far as I'm concerned! Maleficent was amazing and wonderfully charismatic, and I loved her expanded backstory, the pain and bitterness she struggled with and that she overcame it in the end; and that Aurora was allowed to get angry with her but also to forgive her, and was so blithely unknowingly kind to her, and not afraid of her, IT WAS ALL SO GREAT. ♥
So! Please tell me any story you like about either or both of these women. Expand on Maleficent's youth, growing up among the beauties and dangers of the Moors, and her doomed relationship with Stefan—her perspective on the human kingdoms and how it changes. Or struggling with her fondness for Aurora, hating it but unable to eliminate it, watching Aurora fall in love with the Moors and feeling her own curse hanging over both their heads. ;-; Or focus on Aurora, what it was like growing up with the fairies and how her understanding of her "beastie" changes over time; the Moors through her eyes, the first time Maleficent doesn't spell her asleep to take her there, or how it feels when the curse takes hold of her. I also ship it something fierce, so if you'd like to write me Maleficent/Aurora (one-sided or mutual, understated and unspoken or in some sort of glorious tropey arranged-marriage AU!), feel free—but rest assured I do love Diaval and Phillip, and would be happy to see any combination including them, or tragic messy Maleficent/Stefan, or anything else you like!
Honestly there was basically no way I was going to dislike this movie, because I'm so, so weak for Angelina Jolie and also for fairytales, and the trailer alone, I mean, WE WERE MEANT TO BE. :D I love weird magic that's beautiful and dangerous, and also stories about people who've been badly hurt and want to hurt others in return, and also stories where those people start to heal and recover and learn how to be happy again, and also FORGIVENESS. REDEMPTION. THE POWER OF LOVE. ♥ So, yeah. You can write me something super creepy about things from the Moors eating people, you can write me the fluffiest tropiest Phillip/Aurora that lives in your heart, you can write me Maleficent angstily pining and hating herself ... anything!
I enjoy all kinds of characters, but I'm inevitably super there for characters who are just ... really good, or possibly I should say really Good, and Aurora is one of my favorites! She's so adventurous and curious and sweet, so open to new things and new experiences, and so kind, and I love love love that. And I particularly love it in combination with a story where she's hurt by someone she trusted, where she's disappointed and angry—where it's not always necessarily easy for her to stay kind. ♥ So: yes please, tell me stories about Aurora!
• By all means feel free to stick to her early years and childhood, if you like:
- Some more of her earliest encounters with Maleficent? (The first one she remembers in years to come? Or make a five-things fic out of it?)
- Or her playing as a child with Diaval—the first time she really started to realize he wasn't like other birds? Or that her caretakers weren't nearly as ordinary as they tried to appear?
- Or, as she begins to get older, what does she think about living in the forest the way she does? What does she know about the kingdom, or the Moors?
• Or move a little bit later!
- Once she's old enough to be allowed to walk around in the woods by herself, and run errands and things—does she talk to other people? (Is the story of the cursed little princess who went missing widespread enough for her to hear it?)
- Why does she wander up to the border with the Moors in the first place? Has she heard enough contradictory things about it to be curious? Or does she not know much of anything, and doesn't think it's more than a weird wall of thorns?
- Any worldbuilding you'd like to include with her exploring the Moors, asking Maleficent questions about it and learning how things work there, would be amazing!
- And her perspective on *waves hands* pretty much anything, Phillip or Maleficent or the curse, learning the truth and finding Maleficent's wings, becoming the queen of the Moors like that ...
• And I'd be thrilled with any futurefic or AUs you're interested in writing 1k of, too:
- I'm so here for fictional politics, and Aurora trying to figure out how to wrangle nobles used to dealing with her father, plus or minus the undoubtedly unusual issues anyone would come up against governing the Moors!
- Or a variation on road-trip fic, where she decides she'd better get to know both her kingdoms a little better, up close and personal?
- Tell me about the universe where she wasn't spirited away, and grew up in the castle with Stefan instead; would Maleficent or Diaval still have kept an eye on her? How might she still have met them, and what else would change?
- Or tell me about the universe where she was spirited away further—where Maleficent (or someone else from the Moors who hates humans even more) stole her away from the fairies and hid her there?
• Shipfic with Aurora and people who are not Maleficent would be wonderful, too!
- Aurora/Phillip! They're so adorable and bright-eyed and sweet, and I loved their wee proto-romance—and that the movie acknowledged it hadn't progressed far enough to be true love just yet, even if it would in time. :D So, yeah, by all means write me tentative post-canon courtship fic, or the AU where they don't meet until Aurora's already queen, Phillip sent as part of a diplomatic gesture, or anything else you like!
- Aurora/Diaval! Aurora making friends with this weird crow who hung around all the time was so heartwarming, and I'd love to read about that progressing further (to both their surprise? Or Aurora determinedly pursuing Diaval, who's being stubborn about it because he doesn't consider himself king material? :D)
- And by all means feel free to combine or rearrange things—Aurora/Diaval/Phillip? Aurora/Diaval/Maleficent? Aurora/Phillip/Maleficent (and I have to admit I'd especially love that with Phillip pushing for it, bless his heart)? OT4? Anything!
• I have enough thoughts about Aurora/Maleficent, though, that it's better off in its own section! Please find that below. :D
MALEFICENT. ♥ Her whole character arc was absolute catnip to me, from the betrayal she suffered to her rage in the aftermath, and the wonderful slow burn of that rage receding—the tragedy of realizing what a mistake she'd made far too late to fix it, except she can fix it because TRUE LOVE. *_______*! With her wings getting cut off and then returned to her at such a gloriously whumpy moment, by the one person who possibly had the least reason to help her? Yeah, stick a fork in me, I'm done. :D! SO. I'd love to receive anything you're inclined to write me about Maleficent!
• If you're interested in worldbuilding about the Moors, or backstory more generally, I'd absolutely love 1k that expanded on a younger Maleficent:
- Why is she so much more powerful than other fairies? Something to do with the tree? Or indulge me just as much as the movie did with those glorious flight sequences—was there an awkward period of fledging? What was it like the first time she really managed to soar?
- Were there any other humans who crossed the border when she was younger, besides Stefan? How did she usually deal with them? Did she ever do the same in reverse, and explore the human side of the forest?
- I love love love the hints that she's somehow intrinsically connected to the Moors as a guardian, with the authority to crown Aurora at the end; is that kind of an extant position that the Moors themselves sort of "choose" someone to fill? Or did she simply take it on herself because she loves the Moors and has the power to do it?
- How much of the Moors has she seen—how much is there? Where do the rest of its borders lie? Or does it go on forever, what humans would consider impossibly so, except where it's artificially been bounded by human lands?
• Or feel free to move a little further through the movie, of course!
- Her perspective on Stefan's betrayal, adjusting to no longer having wings of her own, finding Diaval ...
- What did she think when she first heard that Leila was going to have a child? Or when she realized fairies were being invited to give that child blessings? (Was it Leila who arranged that, since by that point presumably Stefan wasn't a fan of fairies?)
- What other sorts of tricks did Maleficent play on the fairies as they tried to care for Aurora?
- What other attempts were made to break through the borders of the Moors, and how were they foiled? (Or a "five people Maleficent found at the border" story?)
- Aaaaaanything about the climactic portion from her POV, realizing what would happen and going after Aurora, forcing her way through those iron thorns, getting her wings back, the aftermath ... ANYTHING. :D
• Or write me futurefic, or tell me other things that might have happened!
- Does Maleficent go off alone and wander the Moors for a while? Or does she stay on as a court advisor to Aurora, representing the Moors' interests?
- How do Aurora's people feel about Maleficent, and about this newly reopened border with a land that's got to be very strange to them? (What intensely weird shit starts showing up in town marketplaces along the border? :D)
- Or tell me how badly things could have gone—if Aurora hadn't found the wings, and Maleficent had been imprisoned? (Could Phillip or Diaval have done anything?)
- Or if the fairies had managed a bit better/Maleficent had sworn off the human lands entirely, and never met Aurora at all—give me a thousand horribly depressing words of her feeling the curse activate, and idly, coldly deciding to cross the border one last time, watching the castle from overhead as maids start screaming over the dead princess and feeling icy satisfaction. ;-;
- Or! Go the other way: what if Stefan had never crossed the border at all? Could some kind of peace have been negotiated? (Or would the Moors' borders simply have been closed and never reopened, and gradually forgotten entirely on the human side? Until—maybe—a curious princess happened to ride into the forest one day ...)
• And of course I also ship Maleficent with just about everyone. :D
- Maleficent/Stefan? I'm absolutely here for feelings going horribly wrong, whether it was one-sided or Stefan did love her to some degree!
- If you don't mind doing some heavy lifting—Maleficent/Leila? Might a Maleficent who'd already been betrayed by Stefan appear some dark night to Leila to warn her away? Or might Leila, coming to Stefan's kingdom from elsewhere, unwittingly ride into the woods and find herself in the Moors?
- Maleficent/Diaval? :D I absolutely adore their dynamic, that Diaval is so deprecating but so loyal, that they find each other at pretty much the worst moments in each of their lives and forge a connection there. So, yeah, all the loyalty kink, all the pining, all the magical shenanigans ...
- Maleficent/Phillip? Ngl, I'm mostly basing this on how like Aurora he is, but still! He's so earnest and brave, and is a little out of his depth but doesn't falter; I can so easily see Maleficent amused and a little intrigued and fonder than she expects (and, post-movie, keeping carefully out of the way because she assumes he and Aurora are better for each other than she could be for either of them ...). :D
• And I have enough thoughts about Aurora/Maleficent that it's earned its own section! Please scroll down a bit/find that below. :D
I just have a whole lot of feelings about these two! And if you offered the pair of them hoping to write shipfic, well, I couldn't possibly have fit those feelings into just one bullet. Because oh, man, I enjoyed their dynamic SO MUCH, my id was in heaven. Aurora's blithe openness toward Maleficent, how much she's clearly learned to trust and care about this weird prickly woman that pretty much anyone else would be terrified of; how terribly hurt and angry she is when she learns the truth! That moment she finds Maleficent's wings and understands, and makes her choice! And o m g, eeeeeeeverything about Maleficent's reluctant affection for Aurora, the way she craves but also tries to reject Aurora's acceptance, how terribly unhappy but also almost resigned she is when Aurora learns the truth—I ATE THAT UP WITH A SPOON. She tries so hard to avert the curse, EVEN WHEN SHE THINKS AURORA ALREADY HATES HER FOREVER. ;-; Her face as she was watching Phillip from behind that screen, once they reached Aurora! I DIED. I'M DEAD. ♥
• SO YEAH. I definitely have more than one or two bullets' worth of prompts for this pairing, if you're at all interested!
- By all means give me 1k of the universe where peace is settled between the Moors and Stefan's kingdom ... because he agrees to marry his daughter to the winged shieldmaiden of the Moors. *_______*! I adore arranged marriages/marriages of convenience, especially with a side of wildly differing cultural expectations (what's entailed in the concept of "marriage" in the Moors? Or is Maleficent unfamiliar with the whole idea, agreeing to it just because it seems to be important to humans?)!
- Or, in an AU where Aurora was raised in the castle—might she find Maleficent's wings there, and stubbornly go on a quest to return them to the fairy they were taken from (who at first probably thinks this is just Stefan's daughter playing a trick or trying to manipulate her ... until she learns Aurora has no idea who she is)?
- Post-canon—does Aurora ever learn what happened while she was asleep? Does she know it was Maleficent who kissed her awake—or does she begin to suspect it over time?
- Does Maleficent have every intention of retiring away to some far corner of the Moors ... except Aurora asks her for help with things and she keeps sticking around a few more days? Or does Aurora track her down and keep visiting her, even though she was silently expecting Aurora's attention to her to taper off and stop?
- ... Honestly just about anything that really wallows in the idea that Maleficent totally adores Aurora and expects next to nothing—feels she deserves next to nothing—in return, and that Aurora couldn't agree less, will punch me right in the heart. I love pining SO MUCH. :D
- Or! Get all magical and tropey on me! There's got to be a sex pollen tree in the Moors, right? Or do fairies perhaps soulbond? Might some exceptionally powerful and unexpected magic render Maleficent unable to lie? Did crowning Aurora that way accidentally give the land of the Moors itself the impression that she's Maleficent's wife, and it keeps, you know, growing honeymoon bowers overnight at them and giving Aurora presents? :D
- Or get all whumpy and tropey on me. :D In an AU where Stefan didn't stop at cutting Maleficent's wings off, might a queen Aurora be presented with or discover an imprisoned fairy locked away somewhere in the castle behind a lot of iron—and be horrified, and much more solicitious than Maleficent expected? (I also love h/c and recovery fic. :D)
I enjoyed everything about this movie ENORMOUSLY—and I have read the book, too (both the books, that is, P&P original flavor and P&P&Z), but it was so amazing to see the combination of Regency classic and ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE brought to life on screen, and I was utterly thrilled about it. :D I loved the worldbuilding (the spiked fences! The zombie-bite inspection box! CARRION FLIES and PLAGUE and WHIST) and just the sheer all-out commitment to the premise, the Bennet girls cleaning guns instead of sewing and class issues extending to which sort of martial arts you learn. And perhaps my very favorite thing was Elizabeth! "I shall never relinquish my sword [and] the right man wouldn't ask me to" was all she needed to say. :D
So! Tell me anything you like about her—what did her training in Henan consist of, and who did she and her sisters receive it from? What was it like growing up in a world where zombies are a realistic concern and she needs that many knives to fit underneath her best dresses? Anything set during the movie from her POV, from the moment she realized it was Mrs. Featherstone behind her all the way to blowing up the bridge—and of course Elizabeth/Darcy is more than welcome! (And I wouldn't say no to Elizabeth/Jane, or some past Elizabeth/Charlotte lending a bit of extra bite to that exchange about marriage, or anything else you like. :D)
This movie was such a blast to watch—I absolutely cackled with delight during that whole beautiful slow-mo shot of the Bennet girls striding into the dancing hall with their weapons drawn to deal with the zombie attack, it was beautiful and everything I wanted and I loved it. :D LOVED IT. Because this letter's already way too long, I figured I'd better narrow my request down to just Elizabeth! But I enjoyed all the characters in this a lot (Darcy the zombie investigator! Jane with her polearm! LADY CATHERINE DE BOURGH :DDDDDDDD), so you definitely don't need to limit yourself to Elizabeth solo. Fic about the Bennets or the whole ensemble, or shipfic of any sort, is more than welcome as long as Elizabeth's featured somehow or other!
:D Elizabeth's one of my favorite fictional characters in pretty much any incarnation, the original or any of the adaptations (and I've seen a lot of them!). But I have to admit that there's a special place in my heart for sword-wielding fly-snatching zombie-slaying Elizabeth—who's still just as stubborn and prideful as always, just as clever and just as quick-tempered. ♥ And read The Art of War in the original Wu dialect, because of course she did! Seriously, I love everything about this version of Elizabeth, and I'd be delighted to read anything you want to tell me about her. :D
• Pre-canon or backstory fic would be fantastic! Obviously her life has been different in a lot of ways in this version of P&P, and I'd love to hear about any of them:
- Her childhood, in this much more dangerous version of Regency England—her first encounter with a zombie? How old was she when she was first given a knife, or taught to sharpen a blade?
- Some of the dialogue implies she and her sisters (and probably also Mr. Bennet) may have traveled to the province of Henan to be trained in martial arts, and I would LOVE to hear more about that journey, about what "endur[ing] all manner of discomfort" entails and how she and her sisters (and/or fellow students, if you'd like to add some OCs!) handled it. :D
- And of course she also knows how to shoot, and how to care for guns—did that come before or after? Was there any particular incident that prompted her to pick up those skills, too?
- Is any of her interest in books due to having found ones written pre-plague, depicting this (to Elizabeth) fascinating and strange world where zombies aren't a thing? Or are her favorites more current novels, where she can be entertained and critique the characters' strategy in a fight at the same time?
• Or, of course, give me any sort of missing scene or Elizabeth POV that's set somewhere during the movie:
- Aaaaanything from the first ball, the lead-up and prep, choosing her dress ... and also her knives; Mrs. Featherstone or the fight, clearing the hall of the infected with her sisters at her shoulders!
- Her POV waiting at home for news of Jane, and walking to Netherfield—realizing what Darcy was concerned about (was she really that sure Jane hadn't been bitten? Perhaps because she feels certain Jane would never have continued to Netherfield if she knew herself to be infected?), and angry all over again ...
- Or! Something set a little later, reflections on Wickham or St. Lazarus, the Horsemen or the fate of London? Did she genuinely want Lady Catherine to aid Wickham, or was she a little more uncertain about it than she let on?
- The failed proposal/duel was AMAZING, I loved it, and anything where Elizabeth is simultaneously furious and overcome with all that unacknowledged UST would be spectacular!
- Or, of course, the endgame! How did Elizabeth feel about earning Lady Catherine's respect? Or the moment she realized Darcy had gone after Lydia? RIDING FURIOUSLY ACROSS HINGHAM BRIDGE AS IT EXPLODED UNDERNEATH THEM. Anything!
• And post-movie fic or AUs branching off from various points are totally welcome, too!
- Does Darcy keep working as a zombie hunter? I imagine Elizabeth would be happy to join him! And I would love to read about Pemberley in this universe, since it isn't shown in the movie—was it perhaps overrun by zombie hordes, and Elizabeth's determined to retake it? Or is Elizabeth pleased to become its mistress, and take on the task of better fortifying it? :D
- Might Elizabeth end up not only reading lots of books, but writing some? If you're at all interested, I'd absolutely love some kind of excerpt—like, the Sermons to Young Women that Mr. Collins meant to read, except genuinely useful zombie-fighting advice? :D
- Honestly 1k of post-canon Elizabeth on another visit to Rosings, sparring with Lady Catherine and discussing the Art of War with Anne (who might have a sickly constitution, but that doesn't mean she couldn't be a great tactician ...) would be wonderful!
- Or! Creep me out: give me 1k of the world where Jane did get bitten on the way to Netherfield, and Elizabeth and Darcy have to kill her together? D:
- Or if blowing up the bridge had failed somehow—if they had to retreat all the way back to Rosings and fortify against an assault of more zombies than anyone could have expected ...
• I do enjoy Elizabeth/Darcy very much, and of course I'd love to read about them! But they definitely aren't your only option. :D
- I tossed off prompts above that imply some degree of Elizabeth/Darcy, established and not; but for the record, I'd love anything from drawn-out pining to 1k of the first time they undress each other—and carefully, lovingly remove each other's weapons one at a time, of course. ;D
- Or! Elizabeth/Charlotte? I'd love this just as much in earnest, Elizabeth bursting out with a confession to stop Charlotte from marrying Mr. Collins, as I would one-sided or unspoken, something they both feel but try to ignore, Charlotte always forcing herself to inject some realism about her prospects if she doesn't marry into any moment that might get to be too much. ;-;
- Elizabeth/Bingley? :D He's just such a dear, and she seems immediately to feel fond of him—mostly for having the good taste to like Jane, but (perhaps in a world where Jane's turned or died ;-;) I'd still buy it, even if he doesn't appreciate books properly.
- Elizabeth/Anne? It's easy for me to imagine a dynamic in this universe where Lady Catherine, warrior that she is, has assumed Anne's physical weaknesses make her useless—but Elizabeth and her books and her Sun Tzu know better! :D
- Elizabeth/Jane? I really loved that whole sequence of them sparring together under the house—just as much as I loved Elizabeth brushing Jane's hair for her, understanding her so very well and defending her natural reserve to Darcy so fiercely! ♥ Anything from sparring going a bit sideways on them one time to Elizabeth realizing she wants to comfort Jane a bit too much after Bingley packs up and leaves Netherfield ...
- Elizabeth/Lady Catherine? :D It's Lena Headey with a sword and an eyepatch! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME. /o\ I loved that in this universe Elizabeth could earn Lady Catherine's respect with her martial skills, and I'd be thrilled with anything from UST to a duel-for-fun where clothes are "accidentally" getting cut away, or anywhere in between.

For anyone who makes it down here, I really am sorry, and especially if you did it by having read that entire thing start to finish. /o\ BUT, if you did get here in the end—seriously, I'm so glad you offered whichever of these requests we matched on, and whatever sections of this letter might apply, I hope that they're helpful! And, of course, that you have a great Yuletide. :D ♥
These days I'm mostly just a faceless exchange-fic machine, but I'm on the AO3 at Damkianna, I ... once crossposted things besides exchange letters to LJ/DW at
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Other letters I've written are in my Yuletide tag, my rarewomen/rarelywritten tags, and my Fandom 5K tag. If there's a prompt in any of those letters for a fandom I've requested for Yuletide that appeals to you, but I didn't repeat that prompt, by all means write it anyway! (And don't feel bound by any of my old DNWs, either.)
In General
Dark Matter (TV)
Misaki Han-Shireikan, Nyx Harper, Six, Two
I know this is kind of an odd combination of characters, so, right up front: you don't have to get all four of these people in one fic!

Nyx Harper
- Nyx's POV on Eos 7 and their odds of success, the lead-in to the fight with Misaki and the moment she realized she'd lose! ;-; Two can't stop hallucinating her, a lot further into S3 than we were shown! ;-;
- Or—if she'd accepted Ryo's offer to make her empress, would she have survived it?
Six
Two
- Or tell me about the aftermath: leaving the planet with Dr. Shaw, and finding that facility; the early stages of turning it into a shelter for androids, and the tragedy of Dr. Shaw's illness, Rebecca having to watch its progression until Shaw went into stasis—FEEL FREE TO TEAR MY HEART OUT. ;-;
- Or Portia!
Hellboy (movies)
Nuala
Nuala
Maleficent (2014)
Any (Maleficent, Aurora)
♥ So, yeah. You can write me something super creepy about things from the Moors eating people, you can write me the fluffiest tropiest Phillip/Aurora that lives in your heart, you can write me Maleficent angstily pining and hating herself ... anything!
Aurora
Maleficent
- Or if the fairies had managed a bit better/Maleficent had sworn off the human lands entirely, and never met Aurora at all—give me a thousand horribly depressing words of her feeling the curse activate, and idly, coldly deciding to cross the border one last time, watching the castle from overhead as maids start screaming over the dead princess and feeling icy satisfaction. ;-;
Maleficent/Aurora
Pride & Prejudice & Zombies (2016)
Elizabeth Bennet
Elizabeth Bennet
- I tossed off prompts above that imply some degree of Elizabeth/Darcy, established and not; but for the record, I'd love anything from drawn-out pining to 1k of the first time they undress each other—and carefully, lovingly remove each other's weapons one at a time, of course. ;D
- Or! Elizabeth/Charlotte? I'd love this just as much in earnest, Elizabeth bursting out with a confession to stop Charlotte from marrying Mr. Collins, as I would one-sided or unspoken, something they both feel but try to ignore, Charlotte always forcing herself to inject some realism about her prospects if she doesn't marry into any moment that might get to be too much. ;-;
- Elizabeth/Bingley?
