:D :D :D :D Yeah, odds are it was because of Imagine the Ocean, because before that I practically didn't exist in fandom terms! I was a lurker for like ten years before that, but I never had an account anywhere or posted about anything until Dreamwidth was founded, and I never posted fic until that first glorious round of

I thought I was the only one who liked Shen! And I adore Heightmeyer, who is the subject of vast huge quantities of my Stargate: Atlantis fanfiction.

Stargate canon seems to pretty much hate Shen, but I think she's FANTASTIC - if you didn't watch S4 or S5, you maybe haven't even seen the ep where she comes to Atlantis ~~and that's for the best because it's AWFUL~~, but she does and I was so happy to see her I practically exploded.

Heightmeyer! You ragequit at exactly the right time, trust me, because I just missed her more and more as S4 and S5 went on, augh. (Don't even get me started on what happened to Elizabeth - if I hadn't already pledged to marathon Atlantis with friends, I would have set my box sets on fire after that. WITH MY MIND.) I'm pretty sure SG:A is where I first ran across you, although you'd never have known it because see above re: how I basically didn't exist - I used a lot of early-season stories/Heightmeyer stories/Elizabeth stories to fortify myself through the barren wilds of later-season Atlantis, and I know your username looked familiar for a reason!

:D I love Emily because minor character + Ming-Na basically means love at first sight for me; and I have SUCH A TORCH for Kira, I can't even. Cassie is amazing and Cassie and Nick as the team-of-unlikely-heroes is a great dynamic, but every time I watch Push I'm fascinated with Kira's whole storyline all over again, and I just can't stand how little fic there is for her (which is why I'm asking for her again even though my gift last year was GLORIOUS). And speaking of Stargate, Ming-Na is basically the only reason I let myself be cajoled into watching Stargate: Universe (where, naturally, she is criminally underused; but ON MY SCREEN. And in a POSITIVE LONGTERM LESBIAN RELATIONSHIP WHERE NO ONE'S DEAD. Thank god the show got canceled before they could ruin that too much).

Basically, I just want to draw shiny sparkles all over your post. :)
